Acupuncture/How to get your groove nack?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried acupuncture and did you feel it worked? I am thinking about trying it just to see insurance pays for it so I figure why not? Just wondering what others had experienced. I have been in a big rut with the weight loss and I know I am not as tight as I shoud be and my 3rd fill is not until March 15th. I think I am going to call the doctor tomorrow and see if he will let me in any sooner. I can eat everything and I am tried of trying to eat small amounts and still filling full. I have done fairly well to keep control over my food...I haven't gained any weight. I am trying to get back to where I was in the beginning when I was totally grooving and not eatting any of the food around the house that I shouldn't. Not that I deprived I had my treats and such but I live with family and they cook with butter, red meat, Pasta, etc. They are down falls because before I know it I have eatten way more than I wanted too. Especially since I was not going to eat their food I was going to eat food that would go along with my diet. I then figure the day has gone to crap and I might as well eat whatever because it is already shot.(I know I am not the only one that feels this way so if you do how do you get past it?) I try to get home after they have finished eatting so there isn't anything left or I don't go around when they are eatting. I am so frustrated and I am not defeated but I don't know how to pick back up again. This the point in the past where the weight would come back on. So Help I need it badly any advice on how to work past these issues would be great. Thanks!

I have not used accupuncture for weight loss, but I have used it for pain management.. It is a wonderful thing ..

See a traditional accupuncturist.. Mine trained in Asia.. I have also tried the "electronic" accupuncture .. Once was

enough. I will NEVER let them do that again.

unfortunately , our insurance does not pay for lap band , accupuncture, eyeglasses etc ... PITA !!!!

I've used acupuncture in conjunction with trying to conceive. Do I think it helped? Maybe. Did I get pregnant? No. But it, along with all the other things I did, help me develop three eggs which we were able to retrieve and inseminate and grow into beautiful embryos. I just wasn't lucky that time.

My acupuncturist has said it can be used for weight loss (as well as a host of other issues) but I've not used it for that.

Shop around. If your insurance doesn't cover it, you may be able to find a package deal for cash price that is affordable.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
