Does anyone else stomach growl? Mine is constantly growling, like when you're hungry.

If I have a Protein Shake or pudding or a yogurt it stops for awhile.

Anyone else have this post op? Does it stop when I get to solider foods?

That is one of the strangest things that I find..>The growling. It is so loud sometimes it is very embarrasing!!! Unfortunately it doesn't stop (for me anyway) after being on solids. I am 4 months post op. and it still happens! One of only a few "bad" things since surgery so I can live with it!

Congratulations!

I'm almost at complete solids and mine still grumbles and growls. I don't think of it as being hungry....i think of it as saying thanks for not stuffing me full anymore!!!!

And yes...it can sometimes be very loud and embarrassing..haha oh well....there are worse things !!!

Growling doesn't mean hunger. It's hard to distinguish when we are hungry because of this. I grumble all the time and have trained myself to say that I'm not hungry. I think it's just part of being a band patient.

I've noticed that my stomach make a lot of noise too. It's a different sound that before surgery and it happens all the time!

I agree - I'm 7 months post-op & I have a good fill (almost to sweet spot) but my stomach growls really loudly most of the time. I also agree that it's not a hunger issue, although my stomach growls more when I'm hungry. It just seems to be a "band thing". :(

I am 5 days post-op and I feel like my stomach is growling sometimes too. Sometimes I really get hungry but after sipping on a protien shake for a couple hours it goes away. I know I'm only getting 500 calories a day or so, but I'm pretty sure mine are hunger pains :(

My stomach makes a sort of bathtub-emptying noise these days--it really is kind of amusing

Mine growls quite bit--I know I am hungry when it is longer and more intense. I have stopped being embarassed about it--I figure I could be passing gas--I rather growl:biggrin:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
