I start mine the same day! My surgery day is the 13th. I work in retail, thankfully not food. It is hard though to go through the break room on my way to the floor - or to the offices.

Have you decided on what type of band you will get? My dr lets us make that decision, although I haven't done that quite yet. Guess I better hurry up.

Morning :) My surgery date is the 13th as well and I'm already on day 4 of my 14 day pre-op diet. Its not so bad really...i think the excitement of finally getting these 14 days over with and moving on with the assistance of my band is helping me through. Start a project and keep busy....thats my best advice.

I'm finishing my Soup as I type. According to my bodybugg program, I still need 45 grams of Protein and have 300 calories left to spend. I really don't want another Protein shake, but I think that's in my near future (as in tonight.) Today hasn't been too bad. Hubby is cooking home made french fries for the kids, the grease smells soooo good BUT I know what grease taste like, I don't know how healthy feels.

We can all do this! I am thinking of mine in terms of meals - instead of days. I can do anything for ONE meal. If I start thinking about not eating anything for 10 days.. I'm doomed.

Well I am definately feeling for you taco bell chick that would be very hard. But I have found the best way to get through this is humor. Me and my boyfriend just laugh as I eat my incredibly delicious lovely serving of j-e-l-l-o! He makes me describe the flavor in detail and how savory it is. It makes us laugh and I just keep thinking I'm doing this for me. So good luck and God bless.

I started my pre-op diet on 1/3. I get banded on 1/11. I think it is going to be a long week. I feel sorry for the taco bell girl. I love that place. I'm hungery just thinking about it. Good luck to all of us. WE CAN DO IT.

So far so good. I did well yesterday and today I made a chocolate (Protein powder) and Peanut Butter shake. The fat content was a little more than I wanted it to be, but my Protein level is way up. And.. it's awesome!!

We can do this! One meal at a time. I'm very excited. I started "training" my body before Christmas, knowing that any weight I put on, I'd have to take off. Since right before Christmas, I've already lost 8 pounds. I'm very excited to see the scale move in THAT direction!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
