Did you get the vit D from a health food store?

I got them at Walmart. They are in a little green bottle and the gel caplets are really, really small so they go down fine. I hope this works for you. It seems to have worked for me. But you should also get some blood work done with your doctor in case it's something else. Keep me posted.

I have pretty regular Hair loss since being banded, but it is not outwardly noticeable. My biggest complaint is that it gets on my clothes and all over the bathroom floor. My Doc assures me that it is temporary. Biotin did not seem to have an effect on the rate of hair loss. I will try the Vit D3 next. I am nine months out, and I can see new growth at about the same rate as I lose it. I should point out that I've experienced hair loss at other times in my life. After my kids were born, with certain medications (esp. BC)...Thank goodness I was born with a mane!

10 weeks post op and no hair loss. Basically I take a Viactiv multi-Vitamin and 1 Viactiv Calcium chew per day. I have 1/2-1 cup of skim milk per day. I make sure to get at least 65-75 grams of Protein per day. My calories range from 900-1200 per day. My weight loss averages 2-3 pounds per week.

Don't know what is helping me keep my hair, but has to one of these.

Thanks for all the information. I really appreciate it. Especially the amt of calories and Protein daily.

I am about almost 11 months out...my hair was falling out fast and furiously...almost in clumps until about a month ago. I've been told it's from your body undergoing surgery and also weight loss. I'm not sure. I have taken Biotin and any other supplement I can get my hand on..not sure if it's made a difference but it seems to have subsided. I hope so. I think it's naturall and will subside....so hang in there you worried ones...Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best and success with your new life.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
