My surgeon is also a Christian and I agree, it made a big difference for me. Glad things are progressing for you . . . keep us posted. God bless!

Amen! I agree with Seanamw . . . self talk .. .be strong . ..and look back at what you did initially that made you successful and do it again. Do you have any of your old food journals? Follow them again. Best wishes - you can do it. We are all with you!!

I love the Flintstones Complete Chewable. I use that in the morning and then the Centrum Silver chewable in the afternoon. The Flintstones has iron in it that the Centrum does not.

  6. Best wishes Loyalfriend . . . be kind to yourself and give yourself time to heal, but luckydog is right - walk whil you're doing it! Can't wait to hear how you're doing. Prayers and hugs .. .
  7. Thanks for your feedback harliquinn, Sandy, Loseit, and lucky . . . you're the best!
  8. Well, I am one of those "haven't had a fill yet" people, so I really appreciate the information! My best to you!!
  9. It wasn't a white rabbit I chased And there's no Cheshire Cat. The only grin is on MY face. And in this new amazing place, Each day unfolds With new possibilities to embrace. My journey began so long ago, With ups and downs, I'm sure you know. But now in ONEDERLAND, I know I will NEVER return to TWODERVILLE!!:tt2: My husband and I were stuck in a car for several hours and got bored . .. hence the poor attempt at poetry! I have reached onederland (granted this is my early morning, in my birthday suit weight - but I'm there!!) . . .and I know I have a long ways to go yet in onederland (I am only 4' 11"), but I am so thankful for this opportunity with the band and I'm also thankful for my new found support on this site - we all share a common journey and goal with similar highs and lows along the way - it's just great how we support each other. So, today is a good day - hope yours is too. God bless!

  12. Well, I am glad you are able to keep your band and hope that the small fills work well. Stick to your plan, it sounds like you have your head on straight and are thinking it through - best wishes!

Doctors . . can't live without them . . .but so time consuming. I pray all of your appointments go well. And I hope your foot straightens around soon, I dealt with blisters a few years ago when I was walking and losing weight - turned out my shoes were actually too big - as I had lost weight, I needed a smaller size, even though it was only over the course of a couple of months - who knew? I am finding myself in the same boat as you as far as a first fill - just don't need it yet and feeling great. Best wishes and God Bless!!

Hang in there hawyn . . it does get better. Can you use some liquid Tylenol at night? That helped me the first week or so . .take care and God Bless!

  23. marw commented on hawyn1972's blog entry in Blog 99181
Thanks for sharing so honestly hawyn. I have found that simply having the band and having less appetite is enough for me to handle things without turning to food . . I just seek out other avenues, mostly walking like you said. You will do fine and will be amazed at your success . . . Best wishes and God bless.

I am so glad the new nutritionist is a "fit". Good for you. Can't wait for some of the new recipes too :-) You are a real jewel and I appreciate your posts. Have a great weekend. Rose

Good move! You have to have confidence in the people you have guiding you. I hope this new person really "gets" you and can offer lots of good suggestions. My personal opinion is that if the scales are moving down, I'm happy. I don't want to lose to fast and have to worry about other issues (saggy skin, hair loss, etc.), so slow and steady wins the race, I figure. And as I've preached before . .. I don't care if the weight comes off slowly as long as it stays off!! Blessings!!
