Start of a new life!

:scared2:

Got banded yesterday, 8/27/2010--- so today I start my journey on my weight loss of 100 lbs and a better healthier life. I have all the best intentions but am just nervous of failure. Being that I had to pay for this operation out of my own pocket, I am more focused and disciplined. I look at this as my last resort for weight loss. I am thankful for a supporting family and want to be around for a long time.

My strength and limitations will be pushed with me being an emotional eater but I guess I am going to have to find another outlet to place my frustrations and emotions... like walks or exercise.

Wish me luck

Good luck with your weight loss. I can relate to being an emotional eater. My worst time is late in the evening when all is quieting down. My support group leader gave me an acronym that helps. HALT...ask yourself are you hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. I think of this when I feel like eating and know I shouldn't. I have not had a fill yet...so I have found myself getting hungry. I know you will do a good job! Keep us posted.

Thanks for sharing so honestly hawyn. I have found that simply having the band and having less appetite is enough for me to handle things without turning to food . . I just seek out other avenues, mostly walking like you said. You will do fine and will be amazed at your success . . . Best wishes and God bless.

You have the best attitude already. You know what you must do. The band will work with you if you listen to your body. Keep moving and walking in always my choice. I have lost 110 pounds in a year so GOOD things are worth the wait. I just love my band and myself for being able to follow the rules and stay on track. You will do it too. I was banded June 29, 2009 Best wishes imaluckydog
