Motovate Me!

Yikes! Well i had lost 82 pounds....Not now..I am up 2 pounds in the last month. I can't seem to get my motovational fire burning...I am just smoldering along...you know all smoke no flames .

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know I need a kick in the motovational area to get me back on track. I have a goal of 100+ pounds of weight loss by my one year Dec. 16. I have gotta get flaming hot or I am sunk.

Thanks for reading my tale of woe...I love this message board thing...it lets me vent with folks who understand my feelings.

Thanks I am on my way to the gym!

First, let me say congrats to going to the gym! That's half the battle right there!

I know when I lose motivation, it helps when I bring myself back to where I was when I started. Why don't you give yourself 30 minutes to an hour, pull out some old pictures, and really go back mentally to when you felt so out of control that you turned to the lapband. Think of yourself back when you were strong and dedicated and think of how MAD you would be at yourself for being unmotivated after doing so well!!!!! Get angry, then get focused! You are so close, less than 20 pounds away!!! You CAN and WILL do this, there is no question anymore. Do not let those bad old habits sabotage you so close to the end of your gaol....cuz you know that's what they're trying to do. You are strong and you will not let anything get in the way of your dream!

Now go and kick some butt at the gym!!!!!!!!

Amen! I agree with Seanamw . . . self talk .. .be strong . ..and look back at what you did initially that made you successful and do it again. Do you have any of your old food journals? Follow them again. Best wishes - you can do it. We are all with you!!

Perhaps keeping a food journal will help. Next, do you have someone who can be your gym buddy? If not, check to see if your gym has a class you can take - Zumba perhaps. Lots of fun. You can lose the weight you want to lose, you have the time and you know how to do it. Get it done! We all have faith in you.

You can do it. I get banded the day after tomorrow and am wondering how the weight loss will go. Hang in there.
