  1. Hello, I think that is a great idea. I was banded on March 19th 2010 and am down 55lbs I know my ticker says a little less but decided not to change it back seeing that I have been playing back and forth from 188-191lbs since December. I plan to join WW on wednesday and am scheduled to get my 4th fill on Tuesday (it's been 4 months) currently at 5.5cc in 10cc band....I so need a fill. I will keep you posted on my weight loss really need these last 20 something lbs gone.

  2. Hello, I have lost 55 lbs since March when I was banded, at consult I weighed 246 day of surgery 239 and now 191. People say I have lost enough but I am still to close to the 200's and my goal is 165..I may feel different when the scale reads 175 I don't know cause have not seen that number since the 7th grade so with that being said I would definetly keep going if I were you. Hope this helps sn: it is getting harder to reach my goal but I will keep pushing through.

  3. I ate pretty bad for 3 days starting out on christmas eve but I am back to measuring my food and counting calories today. Did not like how I felt after putting all those sweets in my body but it's on and popping so I can get these last 25 pounds off. Glad you did well with your eating!

  4. I was stuck at 202 for 3 weeks and it was not a good feelng, so this is what I did....I went on strict Atkins diet for 1 week, ate nothing but meet and veggies I stayed around 1200 calories and sometimes a little less because the protein satisfied me, I loss down to 198.8 in 6 days also I pushed my water, its still moving a little slow but got tired of just meat and veggies so went back on regular diet. My current weight is 193 goal is 160. Hope this helps!

  5. Wow and congratulations on your weight loss...I feel the exact same way as you. I started at 246 lbs and am now 195 lbs too, I would like to be a 9/10 as well and 160-165 lbs will do at 5'5" tall. I am finally doing this for me because people are telling me to stop losing but no can do I WILL reach my goal. I am 42 years old and feeling the best I ever felt. I love my BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Thank you for posting this, I really get annoyed when I begin to read some of these post. How in the hell are you expecting the band to work if you are non-compliant, not counting your calories and eating way to many starches. I was banded on March 19th and am down 31 pounds because I follow my doctors guidelines yes I have splurged a little with a slice of cake but it is not often. Let's stay positive and work with our BANDS.....it is a tool!!!! Oh and I do exercise too.

  7. Congratulations on your weight loss, i weigh the exact same as you and have lost 31 pounds since being banded on March 19th and am loving every minute. I focus on the protein as well and 900- 1200 calories a day and average 2-2.5 pounds a week. This is truly the best thing I ever done for myself and finally for once I am eating to live not living to eat.

  8. I workout some weeks 4 times, some 3 or 2 even 1 time on my lazy weeks ( like this past week..Lol). I log everything I put in my mouth on "myfitnesspal" which is so awesome and I stay between 900-1200 calories a day....1 day a week a may do 1300 or 1400 to trick my body. Oh forgot to tell you that I also eat mini babybell light cheese and laughing cow light cheese triangles, almonds and dry roasted peanuts. Hey if you like feel free to email me at barbarabachi@yahoo.com will be able to answer you quicker that way because it come right to my blackberry.

  9. This is true because if you do not feel restriction you should not give up. I had surgery on March 19th and am doing very well and have lost 21.4 lbs and a total of 28.4. Here are some ideas of what I eat...breakfast : boiled egg and 3 turkey sausage links and coffee, nonfat greek yogurt and 3 turkey sausage links and coffee...lunch is tuna salad kits (which I read you do not like tuna) sugarfree pudding, or chili from wendy's, refried beans with queso on top, nuggets or chicken strips from chic-fi-la. Dinner 3 or 4 turkey meatballs in bbq sauce with 1/2 cup broccoli or a crab cake from ruby tuesday and broccoli. That's basically what I eat sometimes I switch lunch for dinner and vice versa. Oh, some morning I will have a grande skinny vanilla latte add protein and 2 equal (160 cal and 18 grams of protein). Hope this helps!!!!!

  10. Yes this is normal, I was banded on March 19, 2010. My first week post op was fairly easy, the second week is when I felt a little head hunger and my weight loss seem to have stalled when I went to full liquids. At my 2 week appt. the PA told me to move to pureed foods, he said if it has a mother I could eat it....Lol and to eat 80 grams of protein a day and to consume 800-1000 calories a day and drink my water. Once I started that the scale started moving again and is still moving nicely. I am down 16 lbs since surgery and 24 lbs total. I go in for my first fill on May 4th done under fluoro...if I am doing well he may not give me one, will keep you posted. Fyi......I love my band! Still wonder though is most of my success is the band or will power.....LOL!!!!

  11. Hello LAP-BAND® family, all I can say is that I really love my band:biggrin:. I was banded on March 19th and am down 21 lbs including 7 lbs pre-op:thumbup:. I feel great everyday and am so amazed at how I can eat 1/2 to 3/4 cups of food at a time and am satisfied. I am eating around 900-1100 calories a day. I use to live to eat and now I eat to live.

  12. It is normal to be stressed but trust me you will be fine, stay positive. I had my surgery on last friday March 19th and it was amazing, was rolled into the operating room at 10:50am and was discharged at 4:15. I was very sore and gassy but as soon as i got home I walked around my house for a little exercise, I took my loratab every 4 hours up until yesterday morning and have not taken any since. Around 2:30 yesterday I took liquid tylenol but nothing today at all, however I did take some milk of magnesia a little while ago so things can start moving along. Now I am at the beach for a few days to finish recovering. Hang in there!

When it was over I did thank God for waking me up
