  1. I am almost in the same boat as you. I am 11 days post op and I am on the mushies and when I say I am burned out on creamy soups and that other mushy breakfast stuff I don't know what to do!! I can't WAIT until I can chew. The other day my husband had a Big Mac and when he took it out the box the cheese had melted down the side and i BEGGED him for a bite!! I bit into it and chewed and chewed....but spit it out cause I got scared! HAHAHAHAHA! But I had the taste in my mouth...I chewed something....and I was good to go!!! I started at the gym yesterday. Just the treadmill. I walked two miles yesterday and today. Just a little sore but its tolerable. I am down a total of 21 pounds because I started the pre op diet a week early (to pace myself) so my body wouldn't go into a 1,000 calorie a day shock. I weigh myself every Friday and I hope this Friday I see a lower number!! Wish me luck....and good luck to you as well!!

Good morning! I am day 7 post op and feel a whole lot better too! I too still cannot sleep on my side so the little butt I did have will probably diminish and become flat as a board!! One of my incisions is more sore than the others and to my surprise after my doctors visit its not even my port site!! I think it is because on day 4 my 3 year old had a melt down cause I couldnt hold her and she had a fit on the couch and I got a head bunt on my stomach. I know she didnt mean it and doesnt understand why mommy cant pick her up and hold her but dammit...the pain was incredible!! I wanted to turn up my bottle of meds and drink it straight from the bottle!! Damn a measuring cup. But anyway...all is gravy and i am down 12 pounds from the time I started my pre-op diet until now. Every morning I wake up and look in the mirror hoping to see fat hanging from my chin or gut I can just grab and throw away but no luck so far. Keep pushing and I will try to respond as much as I can.
  3. I was banded yesterday and I must admit I had NO pain or discomfort!! I was amazed! I expected to be whining or at least moaning. Nothing. Now today, it seems like my water is getting stuck. Stomach is making LOUD noises.
  4. I am one day post op and I had little indigestion. I was given acid relief meds through my IV that may have helped me. Call yr doc.
  5. I have a 1,000 calorie diet for two weeks then liquid Wed. and Thurs. I have been preparing myself for that for three weeks! I just keep telling myself this time next week it will be all over!
  6. Good Luck!! My day is March 19th (Friday). I think I am too excited to be nervous. Come Thursday night it may be a different story!
  7. I am so excited that FINALLY I can count down the days! My family is so tired of me talking about it. I wish I could sleep until Friday because everyday is just creeping along. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers and anyone who rides roller coasters...save me a seat!! I WILL be able to fit in a seat this summer!

Good for you!! I am getting my band on Friday. I wish I could sleep until then!! I am so anxious! I have read so many stories, good and bad, but it's good to read a story from someone who just experienced banding, seeing how my day is near!!! Take care and I hope to read more posts from you soon....
