I am Banded!!!!

Hello all, I was banded on yesterday and it was awesome.:) I went to surgery at 10:50am and was discharged at 4:15. Dr. Enoch did the SIL (single lapband incision) everything went so smooth. We stopped to wal-greens to get my liquid loratab...when I got home I walked around my house for a little exercise. Just sore and a little gassy, I take my pain meds every 4 hours like clock work it really helps. I am not hungry that is so amazing to me.:) Doc put a 10cc band in not sure how much fluid but I know he put a little to keep the port line straight. Well don't let me bore yall, going for a ride in a little bit. First day of spring and it is beautiful here in NC.

Congratulations!

... and can I just say "WOW!" It sounds like you are bouncing back like a star!

Good for you!

I was banded yesterday and I must admit I had NO pain or discomfort!! I was amazed! I expected to be whining or at least moaning. Nothing. Now today, it seems like my water is getting stuck. Stomach is making LOUD noises.

Congrats! Me too. I was banded on Friday morning. So far everything is great. Good luck!:)

As someone who was banded on 2/23, let me first say congrats! Next, be sure not to overdo it. You are in the first stages of healing, your stomach is swollen, so things will feel a little tight going down and once the gas starts moving around and the gas pains start, you might not be feeling so well as you are now. Heating pads and Gas-X helps with those pains. be sure to get in your fluids to prevent dehydration and try and get some calories in via Protien shakes and Soup.

remember it take time to heal so just watch yourself!

Thank you very much for the sound advice. I can definately feel the gas starting to work its way around. I did not do as well with my Water consumption yesterday, but I'm on it today. I'm trying to stay off the pain medicine today.

Pete
