Went 3 days without water
Dehydration is not only a valid ER visit it could possibly lead to admission. Not misuse at all.

Went 3 days without water
Hey there sorry that you had a tough time with your band and dehydration. To be honest from what you posted I don't see where he did anything wrong. The advise to go to the ER was sound advise. Him being in a solo practice I don't see why he doesn't have a PA or Nurse trained to do Emergent unfills though. Glad it turnedmout ok for you but next time if he can't get you in in am day and your getting that dehydrated I would go to the ER

I feel like I'm failing in "bandster hell"...
I Am going threw somewhat the same thing. I was banded 3 days before you and waiting in my third fill. I can eat almost 2 cups. My Doctor doesn't seem to think I am doing damage. My instructions from him was to eat a cup of dense protein and I should be full. That is how he evaluates my fills

Please help..strange pains.
I know this is old but I have these exact pains and are relieved by eating or drinking.

Pouch stretch question
I am no expert new to the band but i believe its that maybe some of the food is already passing into the lower stomach as you eat so its not all just sitting in the pouch.

Is this FINALLY it???
I am knew to the band but it sure sounds like you are there. Congrats on getting it back going again:thumbup:

how many cc's for restriction 14cc
I just got a fill in my 14 cc band I am now at 8 cc and don't have good restriction. Starting to get a little disappointed. Could still probably eat 2 cups of food if I let myself. Lost 9 lbs since my last 3 week visit but also burning 400 calories a day 4 days a week via working out. Seems I am working harder than my band

What did you Post Op diet consist of and how long?
Yours sounds just like mine. If i may ask where were you banded?
-
What did you Post Op diet consist of and how long?
My doctor has me with 2 days of liquids then 2 days of soft foods then move onto regular foods
-
How long...?
I have my surgery on tuesday but my doc's plan is day 1-2 liquids (broth, jello, popsicles, protein shakes) day 3-4 soft foods (eggs, beans, chicken salad, egg salad, tuna, cooked veggies, flaky fish day5 progress to regular diet. Mine seems to allow back to foods faster but he is well established in a big group and they all follow the same program. My pre-op was the liquids for 2 weeks first week one frozen meal. Last week 4 Protein shakes and clears. Last two days just clears

I'm Skerrred!
Hey there, we are in the same boat. My surgery is scheduled on the 23rd also. Also on day 2 of the preop diet. If you dont have any other medical issues seems the main thing is to just be up and ambulating early after surgery. I am a little nervous but being in the medical profession i know that the bad always gets put on the news. Never all the successful surgeries. Well some extreme ones maybe televised but you know what i mean
