Best wishes to you my friend. I got my third fill and that did it for me..... I have never been so full in all my life. To the point that some days I think I should go get an un-fill. But this is when the band is working for me. I did not even feel the results of the 3rd fill until 4 to 5 days later so go slow and be careful if you know what I mean. I never feel hungry and that can be bad. I need to force myself the eat three to four times a day to get in all the protein. Glad to hear you are getting back on track we need to help each other out. I know you can do it. Just look at how well you have done so far. Here's 3 cheer's for you and your success. imaluckydog
  2. Great Post!!! Glad you are so happy it makes me smile and I am so happy for you Great new pic. I am also enjoying the new and smaller me. I have been able to buy clothes and choose the ones I want to keep. That is so new for me. It was a real work out at the store yesterday! Trying on clothes is hard work! I must have been in the dressing room 20 times I just found so many nice things that fit it was just blowing me away. I only got a few things because I still have a ways to go. I tell you these feel good days are here to stay. Best wishes and Happy Birthday to you little Lady. imaluckydog

OMG you are such a great mother and wife!!!! Please pat yourself on the back a few times and tell yourself you are wonderful and do it looking in a mirror. Time for yourself Please!! I feel we mommies get so little appreciation it is pathetic. I had two children who would not listen or mind and I had to come up with some interesting ways to creatively discipline. Mine were Irish twins so close in age the girl potty trained before the boy!! LOL and the boy is 9 months older. You have not failed at anything, it will all happen in time you are correct on that one. You should be so happy with yourself and it is hard when others do not recognize how hard you have been trying. I am proud of you and we can help motive each other. I have learned along time ago I get what I need in the way of "feel goods" on this site. It works for me. I have been there and done that and I assure you, you are doing a GREAT job. Mine are both in college now but it seems like yesterday;-) Best wishes imaluckydog

Keep up the great effort. I am addicted to Broccoli soup and I am making it tonight when I get home from vacation, I can't wait. I try and make all my own foods it has helped in my wt. loss. I have a really good broccoli soup recipe if you want one? I did not have much pain in shoulders but sounds like the walking will help. Stick to the rules and all will be well. Best wishes, imaluckydog

  6. Sounds to me like you are creating your own destiny Yaaa you!!! As for the other end it is a bummer. I think many of us can identify with these feelings. Best wishes and stay positive it has helped me so much. imaluckydog
  7. OMG follow the rules you do not want something getting stuck. I have been banded for 8 months and just had my first serious stuck situation and now for two days I am weak and unable to eat much of anything. I am trying to get a yogurt in me now. It means going back to the basics for me. I got lazy after 8 months and took matters into my own hands oohhpppsss. Hope I feel better soon. imaluckydog

Look at the big picture. Stop weighing yourself. It made me CRAZY. I have been banded now for 8 months and have lost 80 pounds. Some months it went faster but 10 pounds a month is like crazy right? Every month was different it stalled for a long time and one morning you wake up and it is like where did it all go? Best wishes imaluckydog

Most important take the time to recover. Do not rush back heal yourself inside and out. I needed way longer than most but I am so glad I gave myself the needed rest time. Best wishes imaluckydog
  11. Best wishes it is an amazing journey. I must say. imaluckydog to be on this journey too.
  12. I am Having trouble posting to your new blog????? I do not know why? Anyway you deserve a GOLD metal. You are the best and have done something many will never do. Congratulations and Best wishes imaluckydog
  13. You will been fine. Yes there may be pain but again you will be fine. It is a journey and a great one at that. It has changed my life in six months I am a different looking and feeling person. I am very happy and I can work with this tool and it works for me. Follow the rules and all will go well. Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog
  14. Best wishes and you can say anything here on this site, we are all listening and may share too. You are blogging for all the RIGHT reasons. Best wishes on your WLS I had mine in June 29 and it has changed my life. My goal was to go skiing again and I have been six time already this winter. All your dreams can come true. All the best imaluckydog
  15. You can do this!!! YES YOU CAN... Set your sights on the rest of your life as a way of life. You must play with your band not diet with your band that may not work. For me, I was never successful on a diet. Sometimes I feel like "Dory" on Finding Nemo the movie " No eating here tonight we're on a DIET" because I cannot eat that much food. The power of positive thinking to you my LB friend. We can create our own destiny one food choice (bite) at a time. I am happy to say, You are doing well and I wish you all the very best. I am not sure I remember Bandster Hell very much. I probably never thought that much about it. I do remember being in LIMBO for quite a while. So for heaven's sake do not worry about a lb. or two it will fall off before you know it. I have been full for a very long time now and I am starting to like it. Best wishes imaluckydog
  16. Be at peace with your band! I do not eat sugar because that and soda are my trigger foods for me. I choose NOT to eat sugar and soda on a daily basis. If I find my mouth hugging a warm and melty sort of chocolate in my mouth I enjoy and let it go I think I have had 3 in seven months. This has been harder for me now that I have had three fills and I am as full as I ever wanted to be. Be patient with yourself and for goodness sake do not get on that scale it will drive you crazy my friend. I have only been weighed at my Dr. office I do not want to get caught in the cycle of on again off again. My head is doing better this way and I eat everything and anything I want. Only a little of it because I get so full so fast. Personally I cannot wait for March 10 when I get weighed again. The weight is falling off because I can feel it. Peace with yourself and all will work it's way out. Best wishes imaluckydog
  17. You must look GREAT!!!! Best wishes and keep it up. Nothing fits me at all from when I started this journey. I really like shopping now. Have fun. imaluckydog

Best wishes to all the new LBers out there. Please take the time you need to heal and feel better after your surgery. I needed almost two weeks before I was myself again. I saw a video of the surgery only last week and I was very surprised at all the pulling, pushing and tugging with the long tong like tools that they use. Now I know why it is important to rest after and not do too much. Drink fluids and then when it is time to eat food do not drink with your meals. I am so happy with my band I could jump for joy. It has been an amazing journey working with the band. Good Luck. You will do well....imaluckydog
  19. Nice story so glad I read this one!! I am just so happy with my LB and I am as full as I ever want to be. Having a good day. Best wishes, imaluckydog
  20. Ok I have had three fills and I am as full as I ever want to be. If I eat too fast guess what happens? Yup it is not very fun. I feel pain and want to die. I must eat very slowly and chew, chew, chew to beat the band. I am holding at three fills for now and it seems I have been here for months. My next apt. is not until March 10 maybe by then I may need a fill. Wait they will be there for you when you need them. Do not rush a good thing and we all know this LB is a GOOD thing. I am very happy being full enough. Best wishes imaluckydog
  21. Eat the way you want to feel is how I think about what I put in the Hole in my face. I really do want to feel better. I know the foods that make me feel better. Just go slow and chew to beat the band. Yes that protein is always getting me but yogurt, milk, cheese, eggs, fish and seafood, soft meats all work well with the band. I know I need more choices too. I like chili, and stews that are softer, eggplant parm. I do not do pasta very well. You can do this Yes you can. Best wishes imaluckydog
  22. Thank you so much this is a cookie just for the HOLIDAYS. I must say I can't wait to try them now that I am feeling better. I love the name "Pecan Butter Snowballs". One cup of pecans has about 9.94 grams of protein. These are not the kind of cookie I should have a lot of. If I make these I will surely have to keep my paws out of the cookie jar. I just love recipes. Thank you so much for taking the time to share one with me. I will let you know when I make them and it will be soon. imaluckydog

I have not been banded all that long but if you are not eating healthy you will not lose the weight you want. You asked for comments. Go back to your nutritionist or Dr. and get back on track, try to use this tool and it will work for you if you work with it. I cannot imagine having this surgery and not following the rules for better health what a waste of your time. I hope you are willing to get back on track as it will only help you. I am glad you shared so I can remember not to get so complacent I want to be healthier don't you? Best wishes imaluckydog
