Today is the DAY!!!!!

The "Day" is finally here. I about to leave to go to the hosiptal. We live about an hour and half from the hosiptal, so we are leaving early to ensure arrival on time or even early. I am one of those crazy people who begin to freak out if I am not 15 minutes early to an appointment. I did not sleep much at all last night. Fear of oversleeping and excitment I guess. It's hard to believe I will be banded in few short hours and I will join most of on the "other side".

Had the "little talk" with my hubby the one noone wants to have, but is a must. The "not going to happen, but if it does" these are my wishes. Made me feel better but it upset him a little. He truly loves me for me:wub: not my size. Gotta love the man!

I will post when I feel better, Good Luck to all being banded TODAY!

Congrats, You'll be in an out in no time!! Just take it easy stay on top of the pain with meds, sleep a lot and walk as much as you comfortably can. The nausia medicine really helped me and the better than bullion saved my life for the first few days. Have a beautiful banded day!

I hate not being 15 minutes early too. In fact, I just made and appt with my doc and she said don't come early because she knows it is a habit of mine. Good luck on your surgery today.

Home already and awake enough to be online? Congrats!!

Was there a lot of wait time between arrival and surgery?

Btrieger,

How you doing? Are you still a patince of Dr. Kim's? Are you scheduled for surgery yet?

There was a little wait but not much. The nurses and staff at Baylor Carrollton are out of this world. The most positive experience anyone could ask for. I feel awesome. I have been walking in the house and can not believe I have a band. Cotton mouth is the kicker for me. I would love to gulp and huge glass of water down.

Getting banded at Wise Regional in Decatur on March 2 by Dr Kim.

Decatur is about 50 miles northwest of Carrollton. There was a lot of confusion and I wasn't sure what was going on for a little while but they fired the girl in his office that was screwing up my life.

I just can't wait to get it over with.
