  1. I hope your appt goes well and you are set to go! No matter what you are in control. Keep working on those elements you can control so when you have surgery it will be easier! You're doing awesome! Be stronger every day!
  2. I too have gotten into the 14s from 18 from the summer. 35 lb .... I am just starting to see it in my face so it is becoming more believable... my physical body feels better, my feet, joints, etc. My energy level... I think as that progresses and you are more involved you feel better. It is a head game I play... I am doing better. I do wonder how long it takes for the head to catch up with the body. My strategy is to be active and try new activities, go out side the box a bit to make it happen.
  3. Gas X and Hot tea later, I am at a loss as to why you feel so bad... I had an upper GI and went to lunch right after and had no ill effects. So if it is gas it is in you belly and intestines....
  4. Good Job!!!!! I am proud of you ! I know how hard it is when things get messed up ... you done good sister!
  5. You will be fine you big "Weanie" LOLOL no worries!
  6. RUN.... look elsewhere. Check and see what your insurance covers, psych , nutritional, preop etc see what the surgeon charges each thing for and exactly how much. My insurance covered all that stuff i have to pay 10% of the actual surgery. my worst case senerio would only be 1500 out of pocket limit any how... since I have paided other money out on unrelated medical I have only $800 to pay out of pocket. for my whole lap band proceedure. and my fills are a 15 office copay. check and find out 4K is wicked high.
  7. you know Aubrie I was thinking about that. So much protein and if constipation would be an issue. I think there is too much emphisis on protein. I am on the side of more veggies, little fruit since it has sugar, but other nutrional value. I am going to get food allergy testing so that I can make better food choices for my body. I was a Lacto Vegan once apon a time and very healthy.
  8. GasX chewables work wonders on intestional gas, one or 2 and you are good. I haven't had a BM just liquid out the butt LOL tmi I know but I was on a liquid preop aside from having cottage cheese and yogurt for solids.... so I don't have anything to move yet... still liquids.
  9. more fiber , more water, and I use Smooth Move tea or you can use Senna Lax tea both are the same thing made from the senna leaf a natural laxative. I will drink a cup in the evening and by the AM it is coming out LOL
  10. thanks, LIFE IS GOOD AND IT IS MINE NOW!!!!! WHOO HOOOOOO
  11. the only think I was told about avoiding nuts and such was they can be a slider food and cause gas. I figure if they are not abused and don't cause discomfort , almonds and walnuts are great for you ;o) JMO of course.
  12. I don't have time to catch up on the thread but well said. Simple to the point . Those of us that have jobs, homes, cars, families etc need to remember if a major illness strikes us or loss of income, the vast majority are 30,60,90 days away from ruin. We will become homeless etc unless of course we have someone to take us in. If you are making a big income and you get laid off, your unemployment benefits will only cover so far and your income will be reduced to a fraction of what you were earning, it is capped! So you will still lose your possessions etc.
  13. You had yours the day after mine! Glad to hear you are doing well too. I was told not to lift more than 8 lb I have an almost 6 month old I care for. I think that is until my 1 month appt but I am not sure. Good thing My 11yr old is homeschooled so she can pick him up for me ;o)
  14. OMG LMAO LOVE YOUR sig line quote..... I can not stop laughing.... have to catch my breath LOLOLOL
  15. I have my appt @ 2pm what time you coming by? They want your weight again to set your 10 lb goal. I was short by 2.5 lb LOL I got my period 4 days before surgery!
  16. MmMMMMm I LOVE QUICHE.... I make it with brocolli and turkey bacon, and onion garlic, you get the drill. I home make my crust too which I know I need to give up so I bought myself some 1 cup pyrex dishes so I can bake a couple for me and traditional for the family so I would not have the temptation of the crust.
  17. Heck If I had to cheat that is a really tasty choice... I am not a sweet freak, more of a savory. Yummmm Pick your self up and get back on track!
  18. Nice to see you Coconut.... not so bad eh? I have my follow up appt tomorrow... whooo hoooo.... want to drive!
  19. want and need were two different things really defined for me. I wasn't hungry. I was having Isopure shakes so I got my protein If I just wanted something for the heck of it. I had SF Jello or a popsicle. I drank a lot of hot herbal tea also. How did your surgery go?
  20. I was able to choose too. After reading about both bands and seeing the comparisons etc, as we are walking into surgery, I told him, you choose you are the expert not me. What will work best with my body. So Monday I will find out what I got LOL
  21. Glad you are feeling better CoconutLatte!
  22. Good for you Bundy, I slept for 2 days too took advantage of DH home... didn't worry about a thing. Stomach OMG is cracking me up it is SO noisey..... keep putting the liquids in. I have been eating regular popsicles (gives me much needed glucose) and sf jello I don't do sugar in tea or anything else. I am not hungry yet dispite my noisy belly .... I am excited I can have milk and my protein drinks tomorrow, YEAH THAT MEANS MY DECAFE COFFEE . I turn them in to mocha and vanilla latte with the Isopure powder he hehe
