  1. Good Luck, Safe and Successful Surgery
  2. I am sure I will be cleaning out a lot of cabinets and closets during my 2 weeks! LOL
  3. visit www.mastercleanser.com there is a great message forum and instructions about what to do.
  4. I would have NEVER thought of that in a million years, I will try that Thanks
  5. UCSD la jolla or san diego dr Horgan does them that way
  6. I love them and use them for burgers etc too. However I am not banded yet so that is left to be explored in the distant future. maybe if they are toasted?
  7. The initial weigh in is what is submitted, once you are on the supervised diet they expect you will lose a few lbs but that is fine...
  8. make sure you are OVER 40 BMI so there is no question. If you are under you may have to really fight. or prove 2 other comorbidities!!!! put on ankle weights if you have too under your jeans, but make sure you are over.
  9. HERE !:martini_shaken:HERE ! Holding up my lemonade! *** Elfie let me know if your dr says... I will let you know how I make out on Wed.
  10. A healthireme, I hope you have recovered well and are back on track. Sorry I seemed harsh. I am just sick of my husband bringing home junk food. And while I am fasting I have to cook dinner. You should enjoy yourself, just bring alternate choices for yourself. I let people eat in front of me and enjoy their company, while sipping on a drink. I am learning not to make food the focus of my social life. It is hard. I am sure in no time I will have a group of friends to hang with and do activities as the focus vs food! Hang in there.... sorry about before.
  11. mastercleanser ROCKS..... I joke with my kids I am fluffy when they cuddle with me..... now I have become squishy with the MC , I am only on day 7 !!!!!!!! I am curious how the Dr will take it ... I mean about the mastercleanser.....Did you discuss it with your Surgeon Elfie? I would think he would be happy to have an easier go since the fat is reduced! I THANK GOD I WILL NOT YO-YO back this time! I am so excited to jumpstart my weightloss. I am resetting my body for a healthful future.
  12. yes that is the one but I typically have done it 30-40 days. www.mastercleanser.com has a great forum for that, check it out. Wow finally found someone over here that knows and does it
  13. All I can say is WoW ... I have no suggestions as I have no clue. I can say however you look "fabulous darling" and you are one tough chick! I hope you find a solution and someone who can help you.
  14. You can do it TBird.... you can! And like someone else said if you can conquer this during the holiday season you can do anything!!!
  15. I agree. but since last Tuesday have been doing the MasterCleanser to detox before I am banded kinda "reseting" Myself. I changed a lot of things already so I was doing this to really jumpstart and clean out, it tends to take away the cravings etc too. I have done this over the years a couple of times and I normally lose 1 pound a day. I was planning on sticking to it for a month when I started( I was given a surgery date after I started LOL) so it looks like that is what I will basically do. I don't want to do all the sugar free stuff since I am anti artificial sweetner person. this should shrink my liver down too and clean me out good. so basically mission accomplished... We shall see. I will talk to them on Wed when I go it to get weighed and see what they say since I may stall at some point ... never have but may.... let them know what I am doing and why. Hopefully I will lose more than 10 but if not so be it. I have gone above and beyond to prepare for this so I will keep trucking on.
  16. I bought that book and I love it.
  17. I am thinking you need to hang out with different people, that is not good support for you ESPECIALLY when you are healing. At this moment and on ... don't cheat , don't jepordize your healing process.
  18. my counsult date I was weighed and told I could not gain one pound..... then I have the preop 2 week liquid to do and they are looking for me to lose a min of 10 lb on that.... to date I have lost 22 and I begin the liquid diet and I get reweighed on this upcoming Wed. So from the scale # on Wed I will need to lose 10 lb , that is how they gauge if you are following the 2 week liquid diet.
  19. I know that is a tough undertaking for sure. I do family childcare so I am always home so I am thinking I am up for the challenge. My kids are almost 9 and 12 and I have explained to them what is going on. My daughter , she is the older, told me that Grampy like everyone else has the right to be Safe, healthy and loved, and dispite the challenge she said it is the right thing and the only thing to do. the sun and the moon shine over my dads head in her eyes. I am so proud of her outlook. I know God will bless you and your partner for taking her in, it was the right thing to do, I admire you, I may ask you for pointers if I have him at home with me. I did call social services to go see him because he was being left alone while his wife was working, nothing appropriate to eat, no running water, no phone to call for help or to check on him. After the very detailed report I made all they did was talk to him outside and he was ok that day, so they deemed him able to make his own decisions...I was so mad they didn't go inside and check on his conditions. I had sent his dr a letter letting him know my concerns to start with sent it certified etc. He called me a week later and was unwilling to help since it was too uncomfortable for him!!!!!!! My dads wife is a hoarder so you can imagine the conditions and they live out in the woods in a single wide mobile. . Frustration!!!! Thank you for sharing your story.
  20. I know how you feel, my dad is across the country from me. He is 61 and has rapidly progressing dementia and I am beside myself right now. he has a wife that is a control freak, she herself is dying from cancer and she won't relinquish him to a family member it seems til she is gone. He needs something between assisted living and a nursing home. I am trying to bring him here to live with me to take care of him for as long as it is possible and then place him somewhere near me so I can take care of him there and watch out for him. If he gets left there there will be no one to make sure he is getting the care he needs and doing unannounced visits etc. It is hard because I am heart broken over his condition, and I was always daddys girl. I hope your dad can move to assisted living I think that senario allows for such dignity. and a zest for life. there are so many activities in those communities it is great. I will pray for the best for your family
  21. nfl 1 I hope your Dad is doing better. In the past I have used the www.mastercleanser.com to change my diet. I went to lacto vegan many years ago using this method and it went really well. I was lacto vegan for 3 years. then got married and well you know how that goes. I am currently doing the mastercleanser to detox before surgery to "reset" myself. It takes away the cravings too... then as you re introduce food you can see if you pay attention what really isn't agreeing with you. Also if you have unknown food allergies... I have been reading alot lately about food allergies and how we crave what what are allergic to and it sets obesity into play. If you don't put bad stuff in after that you should not have any cravings for them. you can also lose a pound a day. Good luck , I hope this helps you
  22. Wow I didn't have to submit 2 yrs of medical, I also have Aetna Choice POS II. I did a psych eval required by the surgeon and other testing. 3 month diet. I am also just over 42 BMI to start and no comorbidities. The Aetna Nurse Liasion for my husbands company called and told me I was approved. She is a bariatric patient and was on the phone with me for 30 min giving me suggestions and pointers. told me I could call her if I ever needed to talk or support. I was somewhat impressed. I didn't expect it to be so personal , warm and fuzzy.
  23. Nov 4th just got my date yesterday
