I had my surgery on Nov. 5th. My surgery was at 7:00am and was home by 1:00pm. Surgery went very well. The first 2 days was really bad with pain. I was on tylenol 3 with codene for 2 days. I haven't taken anything for pain since. I am still having a lot of pain by my port but it is nothing I can't bare. I am getting stronger everyday and able to move more and more. It does still hurt to breath but overall I am doing well. I am so glad I did it!! I am on liquids for 2 weeks and doing well with them. I am able to take sips of water and I am finally getting some broth and a little cream soup down. Jello doesn't sit right. I am not throwing up or anything you can just tell it doesn't feel right. I am getting a little hungry more frequently now and I think that is a good sign. Means I am healing. :smile2: I can only eat a little at a time but I am satisfied so that is good. I am not sure how long it is before I can lift over 20 lbs. I have a 1 year old that really misses his mama. I am not sure if it is just for the 2 weeks or longer. Oh and the walking really does help!! I really didn't have any gas pain. Walk as much as you can. Well thats about it. Good luck to all that have already had surgery hope you are healing well and to those that are getting ready to have surgery good luck and it really isn't that bad!!
Best thing I ever did for myself!!!
