  9. Ok Elfie.... I am sitting here as I type.... drinking my "smooth move" tea..... I went and picked enough lemons off my tree to make a gallon of "mexican lemonade" :thumbup: My plan is to do this for 2 weeks and perhaps longer.... min of 2 weeks. I have an allergy appt for the 8th of Jan. I want to be tested and have basically nothing in my system that provides a false positive. ;o). Not to mention jumpstarting the weightloss again for the first of the year. I have become superb at maintaining. ;o) Hopefully this will also propel me in to more consistant exercise since I feel so good while fasting and accomplish so much. Want to jump on the Lemon truck with me!? Happy 2010! Lets be losers! hey doesnt' biggest loser start up again on the 5th?
  10. Yes for sure that is a blessing, I am glad they caught that ! Congratulations. To your health and future!
  11. Wow Riley, you have done exceptionally well. I started my journey in June with my first consult weigh in. I am working to be at my goal by mid summer. When I see people like yourself I just know I can do it! thanks!
  12. Merry Christmas to all my fellow bandsters and May we all have a Losing New Year! {{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}
  13. I know they are about $100 other than that no clue never tried them on even
  14. I have aetna choice POS II covered at 90% or what ever detuctible you have to meet, my max would have been 1500 but I only had 800 left to meet so that is what it cost me. If you work for costco it will cover
  15. I am happy in CA ;o) love the weather, it beats that snow any day! LOL yes I am the same height and starting weight as you. I have been as high as 235. I had to do 3 months of supervised nutritional counseling and show a willingness to make changes and follow a plan. I have no co-morbidities.
  16. I too have Mirena, Never have a period... low and behold surgery week I had a week long one and then 2 weeks post op reappeared!!!!! so you are not alone
  17. I hate the sweetners too and avoid them. They are unhealthy. Agave nectar, stevia etc would be better. best to adjust your calories and have the real thing occasionally!
  18. Just like me on height and weight! I am from MA too originally been out here 17 yrs ;o)
  19. most are astonished that I am plugging along and they can't believe how strong I have been. They are my cheerleading squad ;o) My mother doesn't know I had surgery... she hadn't seen me in months and commented something to the effect that her I go again losing and it will come right back... I chuckled and thought ... no I have a secret weapon! My best friend is heavier than me at my heaviest, now that she can't eat with me... I go out with her and just drink tea or coffee etc or pick at something... she now closet eats hiding from me, fast food drive thru , I was sad when I saw the evidence in her car. She gives a lot of lip service about what she has been changing... but really she has gotten worse... hopefully I can help get her through this and help her get healthy... but I have been like her, not to long out of it so I call her on her excuses and remind her she is not alone been there done that too, still struggle. She is with me everyday for some hours... our kids go to school together. She is 10yrs younger than me and her mom has diabeties. I hope I can help her. I hope she sees the light and wants to walk toward it with me. She is now seeing even with the band I have to make serious choices about what I put in my mouth, that the weight does not come off with the magic band!
  20. Oh sorry... I had the "traditional" one.... he did great job, hardly took any pain med... Like half a dose every 12 hrs instead of a full dose every 4 hours... i did it just to sleep so I would not be available to the family LOL.... I am a light weight when it comes to drugs. I was the poster child for recovery. Dr and nurse agreed when I went in 5 days post op I didn't look or act like I just had surgery. I healed well. 11 days post op I was "playin" on the elliptical for 20 min. My friend got bored with me and begged me to go LOLOLOL so I gave it up but wasn't ready. I did really well. Best choice I ever made, wish it was years earlier but maybe I would not have been "ready" back then. I am sure ready now. Good luck to ya'll. A lot is in your head and attitude so hang in there. healing and the mind!
  21. If you do the MRI make sure that you have the inflamation down(if any), friend of mine husband had surgery once and still in a lot of pain in the shoulder, they didn't see the big problem and had to do a bigger surgery 6 months later for a problem they couldn't see due to the inflamation they claimed. he does roof work so after being off all those months they could see the big problem, now he is recovering again hopefully a success. good luck! Shame in a way if it wasn't the band at all and you removed it!
  22. I am curious have you had an MRI or something else to be sure it isn't band related? I am interested to see what responses you get also. I have no problems at all.
  23. Jacqui, I haven't told you yet ... been reading your posts for gosh... months... Love them... thanks!
  24. I admire your Michelle. You are very candid and willing to fight for your self. hang in there and do the best you can.
