I'm laying off the wine...half a bottle once every 3 or 4 months is about all I drink. I don't really know how low I'm going to go with the carbs. I'm going to get mindful of them again. I've never counted them, because I think it cruel to count sweet and low packets! But we'll see. J

I'm getting sloshed (not really) on wine and writing papers. They should be fun to read in the cold, hard, reality of tomorrow morning. When do you leave for FL? Do you have a regular group of buds to hang with while your there? Do you have internet access and a computer? Will we hear from you while you are gone? Please say yes.

The wine is going well with little peanut butter pretzel sandwiches. It was going well with meatloaf (picked up at the fancy grocery store that had the wine) and a bit of cheese. I'm being BAD BAD BAD. Gone are the days of too much ice-cream and too much food. It's funny that being BAD is sipping on a glass of wine in less than 20 minutes after eating a cracker. BTW, I'm going to shoot for carb free over the weekend. Too many of those bastard carbs have snuck back into my regular food. Anything amazing I should know about that you've been eating lately?

Edd Getting off of meds is FANTASTIC! As a person who didn't get a fill until 5 months after my band was put on, I'd say if you're losing well, hold off. I don't know if you are soliciting advice. I just like to give it! Awesome job though.

Wine goes well with the liquid calories in the coffee I've had today. I'm really a mess. I have no food at home, homework to do and zilch in the way of motivation. I'm going home to dirty house and a bottle of wine. ick.

How can I get myself to go to the gym??? I'm too embarrassed.
Yes and no. Coming around to terms to do takes a bit of digging. Keeping on point and not caving once you chose to control you destiny can be tough. But there is a point where it is like a switch. Off or on, yes or no, does this get me to my goal or get in the way of my goal... It's hard for me to put it into words. We all have our paths. Good luck.

awe shucks. At first I was going to ask what he was sucking that was making him gay and keeping the weight from falling off, but that was obtuse. Then I was going to say all the sex with my girlfriend is helping me lose the weight...but then he'd want to watch, because you know, that's how we lesbians like it. With some hairy man looking on.... glad to make you giggle.

meatloaf in the blender....oh, the days of mushy. I do think I could probably chew that well enough now. Rare filet mignon. With a huge glass of wine.

I somehow am perfectly able to stuff my face and do other things at the same time. I'm a talented multi tasker! Oh, my blood work came back and my B-12 was at 373, which is low-ish. I eat plenty of protein but I need to eat more red meat apparently. Here I am gobbling up fish thinking I'm doing things right... I love red meat, now I need to find squishy ways of making it.

Guess who just volunteered to help her surgeon's office put together a support program solely for thier Lapband patients? You know, to play the role of the patient on the committee for our specific insights? Because I don't already have enough to do. But somehow I'll find the time. There is a need... Okay, homework time.

How are you smart?
I took the test, thanks for posting it.

You are letting other people control your destiny and you are making excuses. When you decide to live your life for your self you will find that you don't care what other people think. When you stop making excuses you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish. It's very liberating.

New Work Out
I thought this was cool when I first heard about it. It's like a geek's treasure hunt. I say geek and mean that nicely.

No, I'm an overly tired and pmsing. I want a cookie and my pillow. And you are right, I shall not sulk. I'm calling my surgeon's office to say really I can't be your only lapband person, do I need to organize my own group? (and to get some results from a blood draw.) And I went to the local area on LBT to shout out to the potential other central Ohioans. I am proactive if nothing else.

Is it me or is it close to impossible to find other Lapbanded people in our area? I've met others with the band, but they are from California, Florida, Indiana and Michigan. My surgeon's support group for WLS are all gastric bypass folks. Our needs and experiences are so vastly different, I want to meet up with other people going through the same stuff! I know I can NOT be the only person in the nation's 15th largest city to have had this procedure. Reply if you're local! Juli
