  1. oh and BG, you are kicking fat's ass. WTG with the low carb business. You Rock!
  2. HP How incredible for you! Getting in smaller, cuter, fun clothes is such a fantastic motivator! Way to go and keep it up! JC That's very cool about the date. You'll have to keep us posted. BG The only good thing about OT is the pay check. When I work it, it's usually a waste of time. I don't need to be there historically the supervisor has been there, so I go and make my time and a half bored out of my mind. Hence the millions of posts I put on LBT yesterday. B Good to know you're healing. Too bad no one else can do our homework for us, eh? Currently I'm studying the history of management theory. It's more interesting than it sounds, but it's a high level 435 class with some big expectations. I'll be hitting the books after my 32 mile ride this afternoon. Over and out.
  3. It's been super quiet here all day. I've been on here all damn day due to my 12 hours of overtime. Anyway, girl get some food in ya.
  4. I thought I'd take you by surprise. But really, it took me nearly 37 years to stop making excuses for why my life isn't what I wanted it to be. I shut the hell up and started making the really hard changes it is taking to get that life. The flip side of girls being allowed to be emotional is that they are taught to smile through a bunch of shit when boys are taught they are allowed to call people on their shit....a different topic to be sure....but I'm done letting women off the hook. Boo hoo, I get my way. Doesn't work for me.
  5. Awe that's really nice, but I have too much Protein powder that I don't use now...Thanks for the offer! I am interested in the PB2 though. I saved the link.
  6. Uh, I'd call and get her name and write a letter to the corperation. Nothing threatening, just that her customer services skills are lacking or their policy is bad and regardless, only one in ten people complain so if you are the one there are nine others who she has turned off. I write many letters.
  7. I'd just not do the cooking and excuse yourself to a different room. Be dramatic and say you can't handle being around food right now. Hell get a head ache and go to your bedroom and leave them to themselves. Not that two wrongs equal a right, but your allowed to be pissy, you just had surgery.
  8. OMG, what the hell? It's funny but kind of odd too.
  9. If I had to give up Peanut Butter I'd just die. Okay, that's overly dramatic, but I love the stuff. I find a half a sandwich at 150 calories is preferred to a whole one. The half takes care of the craving but doesn't blow the day. I like peanut butter and jelly in my oatmeal sometimes.
  10. or put the salmon burger in the blender with your condiment of choice or hot broth and eat it with a spoon. I ate pureed meat loaf during my mushie stage...it looked gross but was delightful.
  11. I think you are wrong, wrong, wrong. Women need to shup up, quit whining, quit making excuses and get the work done too, because no one, NO ONE can do your work for you. You can feel all you want but at the end of the day your gender doesn't qualify you to sit, wringing your hands, crying "oh dear that hurt my feelings", etc. At the end of the day everyone goes to sleep alone in their skin and are responsible for their actions... I don't care if you are a woman or a man.
  12. I've taken breaks and come back...it's understandable. Like everything you take what you need and leave the rest alone. [That's hard to learn about food, lol]. It's good to have you here again.
  13. great post with very important perspectives.
  14. You'll not like what I have to say... But examine what you are eating, what's going on in your head...you might be having head hunger. If stuff is getting stuck you've got restriction. If you've only lost 10 pounds in 2 months, which isn't bad, but some do better, examine how many calories you are eating and how many you are burning. Eat fewer calories and burn more. I know I sound flippant, and that's not my point but you've got to work with the band, it will not do all the work on its own. Good luck.
  15. Denise, How are you???? It's rather quiet on this here board. I see you are right on my heels with your 86 pounds down.... Way To Go for you too!
  16. I posted months ago on here. Thought I'd post again  as I'm going to my first OSU support meeting this month. I've been banded since March and just never had the time to go. Dr. Mikami is my doc. I love him! I got my first fill in the middle of August and have something like 1.75cc in my 4cc band. Getting the band has dramatically changed my life. I eat well and exercise often. I've taken up long distance biking too. Hope all of you are well! Juli
  17. I'm a food service manager, or the lunch lady for a residential school. I'm in school full time for business management and MBA combo program. I've worked in food for 20 years and need to get away from where it's served.
  18. Hey my people. I just want to say, as of this morning I hit my half way to goal mark! I'm so excited and happy. I had to be up at 5:30 this morning, which isn't fun for me, but when I saw the scale I didn't care about the time. You can't smack the smile off my face! That's 90 lbs in 9 months... Woo Hoo.
  19. I want to say WOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!! I'm at my half way mark! Look at my perfectly balanced ticker! 90 pounds since the first of the year has been a challenge and I'm sure the second 90 is going to be even more of one, but I'm so happy and so proud right now I just have to share!
  20. TA DA Look at that ticker my friends!!!! I'm at half way down! I lost two very stubborn mother effin pounds last night. I think it has everything to do with sugar free Tang. I peed all night long! Anyway I'm stoked. That's 90 pounds in 9 months...so I'm keeping my 10 pound average, though there were a few 12 pound months and I'm slowly losing ground. The last 30 days has been more like 8 pounds....I think I'm obsessed. Anyway, Happy day, happy day. Thanks for letting me gloat!
  21. I'm eating ff bologna and had to resist putting it in the magic bullet with mayo and pickle relish.... I'll chat with you on LBT if you're game. I'm not on the computer with yahoo IM....
  22. no my space and no face book for me. Though I've been blogging for 5 years.
  23. I was at my kid's school fall festival. Beers? I didn't drink much beer before banding, I really don't now. B-good man. HP-enjoy your ride(s). Sounds like fun.
  24. Dana Thanks for the update. You get that rest. Welcome to band land!!!1 Caresa? Hope you are well!
