December Bandsters 2009
Doer - thank you. I am scared of gaining a bunch of weight. I'm trying to remind myself that I am suppose to gain weight and I can get it back off after the baby is here. But your mindset is so different after losing so much weight.

Pregnant pre surgery
I had my band put in when ds2 was 17 months. They never gave me any type of restriction as far as when I could get the band after having a baby.

Congrats to all the preggo bandsters;)
Congrats to both of you. I found out about a week ago that I am going to have a band baby. I am constantly hungry and have put on 4 pounds in a week, but I know I have not been making good food choices either. Plus I haven't gone to the gym due to being so tired. But I am trying to get back to my routine without over doing it.

Definitely shake it up! Your body gets use to routine. Well pregnancy is already killing my weightloss. I am up 4 pounds in less than a week. I just feel hungry all the time! And I have not been making the best food choices. Not to mention I have slacked on my exercise routine due to being tired all the time. But I am back going to the gym and watching what food I put into my mouth. I am determined not to gain a lot of what I lost back. With ds2, I only gained 13 pounds and that was without the band. So I'm hoping to repeat that.

Everyone is different. I have had a lot of luck with mine and would do it all over in a heartbeat.

Hospital bill
I paid $3000 to the clinic and just got a bill for $610 for the anestesia. I have crappy insurance and am quite surprised they even covered WLS.

Pregnant pre surgery
No, they will not do it if you are pregnant. I even had to take a pregnancy test the morning or surgery. When it came back neg, they told me I was okay'd for surgery.

Will you 'weigh' in? How many fills have you had and how much fluid is in your band?
I have had 4 fills for a total of 8.4ccs in an 11cc band. It wasn't until the third fill that I felt a little restriction. Now with the fourth fill, I have a lot of restriction.

Post-Op Bandsters - When did or are you going back to work?
I had surgery on a Thursday and was back to work on Monday. I do home daycare and I had some restrictions as far as lifting. By a week after my surgery, I was back in full swing.

Recovering from surgery with small children...
I had a 3yo and a 1yo at the time of my surgery. I didn't lift my 1 yo for a couple of days. My 3 yo was understanding when I showed him my stomach and why he had to be careful. I had my surgery on a Thursday and by Monday it was just me plus I run a in home daycare. I found it easier to pick up my little one if I sat on the couch and got him up there with me. Then I would stand up and pick him up from the couch. I also had to change diapers on the couch because I couldnt get down and up from the floor very well.

Does EVERYBODY Vomit?
I have only thrown up once since being banded and it was my fault. I ate too much too fast and I tried to wash down my stuck food with Water. The water ended up coming back up. What does PB stand for?

Twoderville and Onederville seem far away....
I know how you feel. I started this weighing 330. I am now down to 270. I never thought I would even hit 250 and now I am so close. My goal is 200, but would love to see those 100s. I haven't seen those numbers since I was probably 12.

7 ccs and I need some advice
I have the 11cc Realize band and I have had 2 fills and am at 7ccs. So exactly the same as you. I am not feeling much restriction at all. I was told that most patiets start feeling restriction around 8ccs. I go for my third fill on Monday and I want to tell them to fill it up! I actually put on a couple of pounds this week because I have been able to eat like normal.

are your fills....
Mine are done while standing. So far they have never had trouble hitting my port.

December Bandsters 2009
I have had no problems what so ever with my band. I just had my second fill and I am starting to feel some restriction. I have lost almost 50 pounds since the beginning of December when I started my 2 week pre-op diet. Good luck!
