  1. I have PCOS and have 2 children before being banded and now have another one on the way after being banded. All of mine where conceived with some fertility treatments due to severe male factor. Tracy - hey girl I remember you from Soulcysters!! So good to see you here. How have you been doing?
  2. Congrats!! Glad you and your dr have a good plan! Once baby is here you can start getting your band filled and get to losing the weight.
  3. Sorry to invade your Feb thread, but I seen where you girls were talking about knowing what you were having and I wanted to add. I am pregnant with our third and each and every time I just knew we were having a boy. Well, I am pregnant with our third boy! :smile2: With our first I knew as soon as I tested that he was going to be a he. So at our gender scan I was not surprised when they said boy. With our second, we did not find out the gender and I was mixed emotions for a while on him. By the end, I was convinced it was a boy. This time around started as twins (we lost one at 19 weeks). I have been convinced both were boys, we were not able to tell what the one was that passed. But the tech asked me what I thought and I told her boy, she just said I was right. I think the mother has a very good instinct on what she is having.
  4. I got rid of mine. Gave most of them away. Some where just too worn out so I threw them away. I did keep some of my biggest favortie clothes, just so I can see how far I have come. Right now I'm at a stand still since I pregnant, but hope to get back on the wagon once this little guy is here.
  5. I was banded in Dec 09 and got preg in April 10. I was pretty full with my band at 8.5cc in an 11cc band. I did have to have about half taken out when I was 15 weeks because I couldnt eat at all and was becoming dehydrated. This pregnancy has had a lot of complications, but that has not been because of my band.
  6. I didnt have morning sickness at all this time around and I am having twins. The only time it became a problem was when the babies were really starting to get bigger and I wasnt able to get hardly anything in. I had to get some of my band unfilled and havent had an issue since.
  7. Congrats on your twins and for having such preemies. I can only imagine the stress that you went through. I am also pregnant with twins, have pcos, and went through fertility treatments. Although, this is baby #3&4 for us. Good luck on getting back in touch with your band. I am getting so use to eating like I did before, that I know getting my fills again is going to be rough.
  8. Congrats!! What a wonderful blessing!
  9. Oh my goodness. I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you must be going through. Please let us know what you find out. Will be thinking of you.
  10. You are right. There isnt much out there about pregnancy and the Lapband. My OB tried to find info about it because he hasnt had a patient who has had the lapband and been pregnant before. The only thing he could find was several years old.
  11. I definitely wouldn't get a fill right now. I was doing fine up until about a month ago. Then it got to where I couldnt get my prenatal down. I was throwing up at least once a day. I couldnt get enough food in. I was barely getting in a glass a water a day. The unfill was the best thing for me.
  12. My dr approved me to just continue like normal. I did slow down my exercising once I found out I was pregnant. And that came to a hault once the fatigue hit.
  13. I wanted to update. I finally had my unfill and am so happy I did. I had 8.4 and they took out 4cc. It made the world of difference. I was dehydrated and malnurshed because I was unable to eat or drink anything for such a long time.
  14. Thanks!! I think we are still in shock also. It has been about a month now where I am throwing up every day. I actually had an appt last week, but it seems like I keep having to reschedule it. I am curious if they will want to completely unfill or just take a little out. I'm at 8.4cc in an 11cc band. And the throwing up is not from nausea, it is because everything gets stuck. I tried to take half of my prenatal and it got stuck and had to throw up my milk.
  15. I am getting my band unfilled next week at 15 weeks. I am having the worst problem with throwing up lately. At least once a day I am getting stuck and it hurts so bad to throw up. I would rather just get it unfilled and enjoy my pregnancy. Plus I am pregnant with twins and want to make sure I am getting all I need for them.
  16. Congrats!! Today is also my 6 month anniversary. Hard to believe it has already been that long.
  17. Congrats!! I'm in the same boat. It was really hard for me to eat more and not be able to exercise like I had been. I still have not gotten my band unfilled, but I do have an appt in a couple of weeks. Since I am having twins, I want to make sure I am getting all the calories I need in. Best of luck! rbaily = you have only just had your second fill? I had 4 fills by March. Can I ask why they are taking so long to fill your band? No wonder you are starving.
  18. This has been the hardest thing for me. I gained 5 pounds right off the bat. Now I am actually 4lbs under where I was when I got preg. I am preg with twins and am having some bleeding issues right now and am on bedrest. So for me, I have stopped worrying about the weight gain and more about having 2 healthy babies. The weight will come back off.
  19. Congrats. Hoping for a happy and healthy 9 months for you!
  20. Congrats! I knew you were going to be preg! Just try to enjoy it now.
  21. Just checking in on you.
  22. If you are not getting enough calories in, I think you need to get a little bit of an unfill. Im almost 8 weeks pregnant with twins and still have all of my fill. Im scared to death of gaining a lot of weight, but definitely want to make sure I am getting all the calories I need. I am sure I am going to have to get my band unfill at some point in this pregnancy.
  23. Good luck. Cant wait to hear about your pos test! :smile2:
  24. My first pregnancy ended in m/c. I was beyond devestated. I was depressed and angry at the world. So I understand what you have gone through. If you are suspecting that you could be pregnant again, please see your dr.
  25. I was told to wait a year also, but sometimes life just happens. It took us fertility treatments to get both our boys. And who knew losing 80+ pounds would make my body work the way it should and get pregnant 4 months after having surgery. And yesterday we found out we are having twins. I called my surgeon today to find out what I needed to do with my fills and they just said congrats and it was up to me and my OB. Good luck
