  1. I do 30 mins every day, switching between cardio, strength training and abs/yoga. I run when I can but it is hard with my schedule. The time is changing this weekend so I can go in the morning before work
  2. I actually haven't told my "family" yet. They live out of state. I am however going home this weekend so it will be interesting to see how it goes. My father is elderly so I did tell by brother I was having a procedure done in case something happened but I did not tell him what.
  3. So the notes from your doctor do not have to be specific as to cause or procedure, HIPAA prevents that. basically all they need to know is your Doctor is giving you this time off to rest and recover.
  4. And just like that.....BAM......I am down 5lbs last week! Getting back on track and giving up my precious Diet Coke did it for me! There is hope people lol
  5. this was the first type I had. I ordered some from here but they are gel caps. hard to swallow. I will go back to these once I am done.

  9. tell him to get on some meds if he is blaming his illness, get on the bandwagon or shut up. DO NOT let him steal your joy! PLUS you are letting your kids see that it is okay to treat someone badly if you continue to accept his behavior. Good luck!
  10. I wish I had taken a before pic! I have some from months ago but not right before! you look amazing!
  11. I have on in May. You give me hope!
  12. My biggest thing would be YOGURT. Have always hated the sour milk taste and no matter what brand I tried I could not get past it. THEN I found OIKOS Lemon Meringue! Top with sugar free Cool Whip and VOILA it is Dessert for breakfast!
  13. LOVE it. Getting back into my YOGI mindset and I love this challenge!
  14. I could have gone back in a week but took advantage of my doctors good nature and stayed out past Christmas lol So December 11-26
  15. Ok I hate to ask...but Dumping? is that code for urgent bathroom need? Vicious! I have only had one bout so far if that is the case. Early on while still in puree stage.
  16. Yep! my bariatric vitamins provided are chewables to increase absorption! When I ran out and had not received my second bottle yet I used my son's flinstones! lol
  17. I am glad you checked in with your doctor! They really are a big help! Sounds like you have a firm plan in place and are headed for great success!
  18. 2-3 lbs a week is a really good rate.
  19. I too had my first child at 40....whoo what it did to my body LOL You go Mama
  20. I will be taking new measurements tomorrow, I usually do it the first of each month so I imagine I will see some changes, as I have stepped up my exercise. so I am chalking it up to gaining muscle mass loll BUT still giving up the Diet Coke again
  21. Wanda247 is right! Protein and hydration should still be your focus right now but you are doing great! It will be trial and error most likely, it was for me, on what you can tolerate!
