Yes, Mary Jane's would be cute with the black dress! I agree though, they look pretty high for a nonheel wearer. For comfortable flats, that are still cute, check out Tieks, Rothy, Allbirds & Everlane.

Suggestions on how to find a good plastic surgeon post WL?
Agree with all of this. It was critical to me to find a surgeon who specializes in post WL patients. If you want a starting point, then check out my ps thread, or pm me. I agree that RealSelf is a great resources. Just keep an eye out for fake reviews, I.e. posters w one post, no details, and generic praise. If you go through a major surgery like a lower body lift, you’d think you’d have more than 3 sentences to say about it, right? Once I narrowed down my surgeon I STUDIED their galleries. There were respected surgeons I ruled out because I didn’t care for the aesthetics of their “afters” Get as many consultations that you need to feel comfortable with your pick. I started with (respected) surgeons who didn’t charge a consultation fee. I happened to find my choice among these. But if I wasn’t satisfied with any of those surgeons I would have had as many consults as I needed to feel comfortable with my choice.

Tummy Tuck with liposuction, Inner Thigh liposuction with Fat injections in the Breast
Having done sooo much research looking into my own upcoming plastic surgery, couple of thoughts Check the surgeons before and after pics. It’s good that a nurse trusts the surgeon, but aesthetics of ps are very subjective. Be sure that you like your surgeons results Look into fat transfer into the breasts. It has some definite “cons” so make sure you are comfortable with the trade offs. Belly buttons are generally always created during a tummy tuck. You’d have to tell your surgeon if you didn’t want one I would think. As far as lipo on your thighs, it can exacerbate any sagging skin you have. In the surgeon I spoke to they would only recommend it in combination with a thigh lift Hope that helps. Awesome your surgery can be covered by insurance!

I have that dress in a different print. It’s cuter IRL than on Amazon IMO I’d day wear what you are comfortable in though! The cardigan is great, and if it’s more you, then go for it. No need to wear heels if they are uncomfortable and hard to find ones that fit. Find some cute flats and rock them. I think flats generally look better with pants vs dresses, but I have also seen some women pull it off, while I don’t think I can. And nylons are not really worn anymore apologies for being MIA The app still not working is frustrating!

My Plastic Surgery Thread
@FluffyChix Thanks! Yes, it has flown by for me as well. I can't believe I was originally planning to have this surgery a year ago. I'm glad it didn't happen, I wasn't at a stable weight and the results wouldn't have been as good I don't think. I'm super excited, but anxious about recovery and pain at the same time. I'm not an anxious person, so feeling anxious makes me anxious ? I'm also grateful my mom is going to be with me. I'm super independent, and hate relying on anyone. But I'm sure I'm going to need to. I'm glad she didn't take no for an answer, and basically told me she is going with me. My bf is also relieved I'm not going to be alone, so this removes some of his worry and stress. My mom and I are both the get faint at the sight of blood, wounds etc. type. I can actually feel woozy just reading about ps recovery, complication, looking at pics. We are going to be a mess trying to take care of me ? Thanks for the tip on the lanyards! I'll be at a trade show in a couple of weeks and will grab a few spares. I think they might be too short though. From descriptions I've read online my drains will be in my crotch area. I'm not sure if I will have drains for the breast augmenttion, no lift? One of the tips I read online is tie a robe belts around your neck, like a long necklace, and clip your drains to that. I added safety pins to my preop shopping list! @Stella S I'll be in NJ. The good thing is my mom and I will have separate rooms, and our own Fire Sticks, Kindles, iPads etc. Gotta keep from killing each other ? I don't think we will have a car when we are out there. Not only is it ungodly expensive, but my mom who has driven LA freeways nearly everyday for the last 50 years, thinks a turnpike is somehow different and more intimidating ?

My Plastic Surgery Thread
Small update ... I set my appointment and flights to go in and meet with my surgeon and get sized for implants next month. Been stressed as to when I could get that done, so glad to have it settled. I'm slightly anxious about the tight-ish time line to have all my preop testing done within 30 days of my surgery date. My work travel schedule is always somewhat in flux, so a little worried about being able to carve out the time to get it all complete. Finally, my mom has decided to travel and stay with me for the entire two weeks I'll be out of state. This is mostly a good thing. I'll appreciate the moral support, and some physical support, like getting laundry done and showering. But she is not nurse material, and will be no help at all with wounds, drain, etc.. Also, it is A LOT of time together. I love her, I appreciate her ... but still

I'm not sure. I work from home, so I just gave notice of 2-3 sick days. I figure after that I will hopefully be functional enough to make calls, answer emails, etc. If I had to go into an office, I'd probably be taking two weeks. I understand the muscle tightening part of the tummy tuck / LBL is very painful.

My surgeon seems to have flatter a$$'s post op then average. My theory is that he gets VERY taunt results for the most part. Many surgeon include fat transfer/BBL as part of their LBL. My surgeon doesn't believe in them for a variety of reasons. So it is all a trade off. (But I doubt you have enough body fat to perform a fat transfer in any case) It has made me rethink my ps wish list ... I've added butt implants to it ?

Food Before and After Photos
I've had that on my Amazon wish list forever, cause it's just so cute. I don't even like waffles! ? I do like cheese, and crunchy things, some kind of chaffle variant I could get behind. Maybe a higher carb version with corn meal as a base and jalapenos (and protein powder and cheese) ... hmmm ... served w airfried chicken ..... Actually a Fawaffle recipe is what inspired me originally to put a waffle maker on my list https://www.foodrepublic.com/recipes/meet-the-fawaffle-a-waffled-falafel-and-hummus-recipe/ Would it be weird to make pumpkin shaped waffles all year round, cause the orange matches my kitchen?? ?
