  1. ? Probably a combo! I'd say they are generally a pretty low profile company,
  2. Agree with all of this! I feel like I have a safety net.
  3. And Walmart.com too! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Premier-Protein-Protein-Shake-Pumpkin-Spice-30g-Protein-11-5-fl-oz-12-Ct/343068824
  4. Motherland of Carbs ... I know that place ... I love that place ? I took a trip to the Motherland when I was 8 months post op. I had every intention of fully enjoying the food, and not trying to follow a bariatric diet in any way shape or form. I had pasta, pizza, gelato, pastries, wine, beer every day, sometimes all in one day. I enjoyed every minute of it, no regrets. I was still in WL phase and I lost over a lb that week, and didn't bounce back up. (26 BMI at the time) Couple of things: Since your sleeve seems to be sensitive at times, I would definitely do a test run of foods you anticipate eating while on the trip. You will do lots and lots of walking, so that will offset some of the calorie intake You seem to have a pretty high and flexible BMR, and don't appear to be carb sensitive, from what I've seen you post I can't speak to your fear of carbs, because I don't share it, but the trip doesn't need to be a carbfest, if you don't want it to be. Carbs and proteins and nicely separated out into different courses. You can simply order a secondi & not a primi. I mean, that's insane, but an option ?. Also lots of options for charcuterie meals, where the main carbs would be wine. To answer you questions: Question #1: How much carbs do you eat in Maintenance? What kind of carbs? Did you even track carbs??? I'm most likely a special case, but I eat lots of carbs, like lots and lots. I eat mostly refined carbs. I track carbs because I track everything. Question #2: Do you plan for indulgences? I am thinking of going back on my weight-loss diet for the next 5 days to offset the inevitable gains during our trip. Thoughts? IMO, this sounds like anxiety talking. I don't think a gain is inevitable. No matter how far off the rails you have gone, diet wise, you have continued to lose/maintain. And if you do have gains, you know what, bfd! You know how to get the couple of lbs off again. But on the other hand, I don't see any harm is eating clean, low cal, for the next 5 days. We all have high and low days. So that would just be a few low days followed by a few high days, nbd. Have fun! I'm envious! ? ?
  5. I've tried the Jalpapeno Ranch. It was fine, not bad, but not super memorable either. I do like the Opadipity Chipotle Ranch Dip. It is 60 cals per 2 tbps, but is super thick, so you could thin it down with some buttermilk maybe?

Thanks everyone, this is going to the top of the "big important meeting" short list! ? @Cheeseburgh & @Sheribear68 Dusters are now part of my travel wardrobe, during warm weather. I absolutely freeze on flights now days. I sometimes carry a pashmina, but I have left more behind than I want to admit
  7. Hope that mans you have made bigger and better bday plans post surgery & Ilena! ? Is your sf pumpkin spice mochachocalatte made with PP pumpkin spice??
  8. Whaaa?? They are HQ'd in your neck of the woods! Actually Aldi USA & TJ's are separate companies. Confusingly they are both owned by a German Aldi, but different ones, Aldi Sud & Aldi Nord. This explains it better than I can: https://www.aldireviewer.com/aldi-trader-joes-related/ (Sorry, I'm a grocery nerd, it's the industry I am in )

I’ve had Elle Woods on repeat recently! But for this meeting I need something more conservative, can’t be sleeveless ?

OOTD This is also a test run for this outfit. I have a BIG important meeting next month, need to figure out what I’m going to wear. You guys think this dress should be in the running? Also, took a side view, so I’ll have a few before and afters for plastics. Good riddance tummy & RIP butt ?
  11. Happy Birthday @FluffyChix!!! ? ? ?
  12. How have I missed this thread?!? I am generally pretty intolerant of healthier subs for items (I'm looking at you Halo Top & Shirataki Noodles ?) Despite that, I actually love the edamame and soybean pasta from Aldi. They have a different texture, and different taste than traditional pasta. But they are completely inoffensive. The protein in them is FANTASTIC.
  13. ? I was more surprised by my healthy selection! There wasn’t a carb on that plate!! ?? Isn’t it weird how our capacity is variable? I didn’t think I’d be able to finish that plate. I wasn’t even more than comfortably full. But the other night I had 2 jalapeño poppers, 1 wing and a few fries, and was stuffed for hours.
  14. ??? Sometimes I even surprise myself To prove my acct hasn’t been hacked, and this really is me. Here’s what I took from the lounge for the flight
  15. Airport lounge food Chicken gyro with cucumber & feta vinaigrette
  16. Mine did. It became less frequent and then stopped around 10 months or so
  17. I'm not going through my insurance. I'm not even sure if mine would cover it. But check what local options you have. My scan is only $45

Agree! I think most of us felt the same way @DaisyChainOz. Most of us knew WLS would improve our lives, but not to the extent that it has!

    Travel day!
  20. Related to the muscle vs. fat discussion, I have an appointment for a Dexa scan this weekend. I got a two scan package, so I'll have my second scan after plastics. Disappointed to read though that silicone implants distort Dexa readings ? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10886260

Thanks for everyone's advice on the striped Palazzo pants. I've tried them on several times, and they just read my circus tent to me than "fashion forward". They are going back. BUT, guess what Amazon delivered tonight?? I am in love! ?
  22. sillykitty replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
Love this outfit! Especially the tucked in top & the cut of the pants!
  23. sillykitty replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
    Love your pedi color!
  24. YES! Laughing cow cheeses were like 50% of my diet early post WLS ?
  25. I’m 18 months out and get cold much more easily now. It started not right after surgery, but when I got closer to a normal BMI. I must have the worst of both worlds, because I’m not any more heat tolerant than I was previously. I’m a temperature Goldilocks it seems ?
