  1. When I'm working from home, I get 64 oz about 80% of the time. I rarely get more than that. (Not including protein shakes or soup) When I'm traveling, ugh, some days maybe 16 oz? Never more than 32 oz. I've given up, I don't even try to hit 64 oz. I mean, I can't carry a Yeti around with me all the time, bring it to customer meetings? I can't just stop in and buy bottled water all the time. Can't drink during or after meals. I used to drink quite a bit on planes. But that bit me in the ass one time, so I'm hesitant. I really had to pee, but we had started our descent, so I held it, then on the ground we had to wait and wait for a gate, I was dying. I finally just got up and told the FA I was pregnant and couldn't hold it anymore. That was half true at least! I get the most water in when I'm out at bars. But water is never refilled as quickly as alcohol, so that slows me down. It's funny, four pints of beer is 64 oz, and that was no problem what so ever, just getting started for the evening. Four pints of water feels like an impossible task
  2. I know the feeling. I recently cleaned out 95% of my closet. I'v even given away clothes that I had to buy as I have been losing, so "new" clothes. I gave away favorites. I gave away clothes I only wore once because they were for special occasions. I gave away my "pretty bras", that got far too little use. I gave away 10 winter coats. My closet has 10x's the number of of empty hangers vs. hangers being used. I've had to buy quite a bit of new clothes, even though I'm still losing, because I have to look professional. The trash bags full of clothes literally cost me tens of thousands of dollars. So, yeah, I have definitely grieved. But it is balanced by how much I love they way I look in my new clothes. How exciting it is to get out of plus sizes. How much more confident I feel when I'm wearing my new clothes.
  3. I agree, there is no magic formula. There are many successful people on here who have followed wildly different plans. Stalls happen no matter what. They happen no matter what you're eating and what you're doing. Weight loss is non linear, period.

  5. I struggle with protein because I have a lot of restriction, and can't reasonably get to 60 g with food alone. I'd really love to ditch protein shakes. But I read the below article, and it scared me into drinking the damn shakes everyday http://time.com/4374959/protein-health-benefits-nutrition/
  6. I have never had dry skin in my life prior to surgery. I honestly very rarely had a need to moisturize at all. But now my skin is dry, dry, dry. Even areas that have never been even a tiny bit dry before, like my stomach and upper thighs. I've been using coconut oil, just as I already had it in the house. I like how it absorbs well into my skin.
  7. She is not your friend. Don't keep toxic people in your life.
  8. If you're eating healthy foods, why don't you eat them until you feel full and satisfied? I doubt at this point you'd be able to eat more than a couple of ounces of solid protein. No reason to be hungry, as long as you are making good choices
  9. I fly nearly weekly and used to dread flights I wasn't upgraded on. But now I fit in a regular seat comfortably! I can also work much more easily on flight, I don't feel as awkward and squished.
  10. Make beef soup, strain out the meat. Puree the veg with the broth. Lots of good beefy flavor.
  11. Yogurt? SF jello with yogurt? Laughing cow cheese? How many soups have you tried? Ethnic soups like hot and sour or Tom Yum? Pacific Brand or Trader Joe's brand Tomato with Roasted Pepper in an aseptic box was a particular favorite of mine. Can you do full liquids? I made lentil soup and pureed it.
