Rule of thumb... .36g of protien per pound of body weight for healthy maintenance. (Also...this should be obvious....but always talk to your team about making these changes.)

I struggle with protein because I have a lot of restriction, and can't reasonably get to 60 g with food alone. I'd really love to ditch protein shakes. But I read the below article, and it scared me
I was up very late watching YouTube (Dr. V- Vong ?) He has some interesting ideas about not being so protein driven after surgery.
I have already consulted my team and have been given the green light so I'm slowly transitioning to plant based again ( I'm flexible at the moment leaning heavily on plant matter) but also I'm not sold on being protein crazed either, especially the further out I go.
I will have to watch carbs forever because I'm sensitive to them so there is a delicate balance for me.
Is there anyone following the Dr. V approach?
