Not tolerating chewable vitamins
I take Whole Food prenatal. My stomach does not tolerate many vitamins, but these are fine https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074KKKMBQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also agree with @KimTriesRNY about vitamin patches.

Grazing Causes Hunger (for me)
I had an epiphany this afternoon. Grazing leads to physical hunger for me. So today I went out to lunch, had my lean protein and was full. As we are sitting there chatting, I was nibbling on shredded carrots and tiny slices of cucumber. I was happy with myself for choosing a healthy meal. As I was driving home, I realized I was hungry, physically hungry. I thought back to other times I had grazed, cocktail party with appetizers, Japanese Omakase dinners, Tapas style meals etc.. Every time after those I was ravenously hungry. They must trigger me in some way to make my stomach want to keep getting filled. I won't be able to avoid these situations entirely, with work dining. But I'm glad I've become aware of it though, so I can try to minimize as much as possible. Frustrating though. I'm sitting here hungry. My calories are low today (most days), so I should be able to eat. But if I continue to eat, it will just lead to more hunger.

Grieving for clothes?!
This probably depends on the area. The tailor shops near me are very expensive. I can get a quick hem for cheap at my dry cleaner. But anything requiring real skill is costly. I'm sure there are seamstresses that work from home that would be a less expensive option, but that is obviously harder to find..

How do you know if your full
You won't feel full on liquids or mushy foods. You simply stop when you feel satisfied. Solid foods are a whole nother story, especially protein. You will quickly learn what full feels like.

SLOW or NO Weight Loss one month post-surgery
I don't think losing 20 lbs since surgery is slow to no weight loss? There is a physical limit to how much weight you can lose in an amount of time. You dropped 20 lbs, now your body is adjusting, and you will start losing again.

Looks, Health, Mobility, Longevity.....Rank these motivations for surgery
1. Looks - I'll admit, I'm vain. I want to be more attractive. Sad as it is, but being more attractive will also help my career, either with my company, or make it easier to move companies if I want to. 2. Mobility - I love international travel. I hate that my weight has limited what I could do, no hikes, no climbing bell towers, etc.. I hate that I slow my travel companions down or prevent them from doing things they would want to do. It was deeply embarrassing 3. Romance - I'm single, and being more fit will certainly widen the pool of potential partners 4. Health - I'm unfairly healthy for my weight. But I want to stay that way 5. Longevity - My family is almost too long lived! I don't necessarily want to live longer, but I want to be healthy in my old age. 6. Family - Single, no kids. My family is pretty great and loves and supports me no matter my weight.

Sleeping after surgery
I slept in my bed. I don't have a recliner, so that wasn't an option. First 3-4 night I slept on my back, and then I was able to sleep on my side with one pillow wedged under my side and hugging another pillow.

Flat out wraps
Yeah, but these taste like normal tortillas
-
Flat out wraps
I like La Tortilla Factory - Low Carb Tortillas (Traditional Flour). It tastes identical to a regular flour tortilla.

When did you really start to feel restriction?
Totally normal. No restriction with liquids whatsoever, from the beginning. But I just had an ounce of chicken and I'm totally stuffed. Five months out now.

Let's compare!
I guess it would be depend on the nature of the meeting. If it was a long, strategic, logistics type meeting, then bottled water is usually provided. But mostly I am in business reviews or sales pitches. I can only tell you I've never seen anyone bring water to those, and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so.

Put these in order of importance on how they effect weight loss
Interesting perspective, and I can't say I disagree, even though it doesn't "fit" me. I definitely in general feel I'm in control of the events in my life, at least to the extent anyone can be. But I chose luck and skill of my surgeon as the most important factor because I've failed to lose in the past, but now I have been so successful, with relative ease. I don't feel I can take credit for that.

Put these in order of importance on how they effect weight loss
Most Important Luck/Skill of the Surgeon - I have very little hunger and it seems more restriction than most at this stage. Least Important Supportive home environment - I live alone, so there is that. But I spend a lot of otherwise personal time working. Of course no ones knows of my WLS, but that environment is not conducive to a healthy diet, lots of alcohol and rich meals. I've had wine poured for me, shots bought for me, and lots of pressure to eat more and have a drink/s. Exercise - This is terrible to admit, but aside from walking on days I'm home, I don't exercise. Unknown Mental Health/Emotional Stability - I'm a pretty level headed person. No mental health issues. I think what is helpful in this journey is having some perspective. For me, WLS hasn't been hard in any real way. Easiest weight I have ever lost. Although stalls annoy me, I know they are inevitable, and it's only a matter of time and I'll start losing again. Don't many people on here have a lot of success, but still seem to think the sky is falling at times Diet - I know that my food logs would give some people on here fits, mostly due to how much dining out I do, and that I'm not usually ordering the grilled chicken. But I do keep my calories really low, but that of course gives other people fits . But I'm able to keep my calories low due to my restriction and lack of hunger, so back to #1. Will to Succeed - I want to believe this is a factor. But if I didn't have the lack of hunger, restriction and such fast and visible results, would I have been discouraged and fallen off he wagon like all the times in the past?

Figuring out Vitamins
Check with your surgeon. I was allowed pills as soon as I could tolerate them.
-
Figuring out Vitamins
I switched to pills vs. chewables at that point.
-
I want to cry
That happened to me even pre surgery. Vitamins are one of the few things that bother my iron stomach. Ask your Dr if you can swallow pills? I was able to early on. I take Whole Foods Prenatal, and they don't bother my stomach at all.

Unconventional Wins
You look great! Same here! Having pictures of myself I can be proud of is one of the reasons I'm looking forward to vacation next month!
-
Unconventional Wins
I thought this would be a thread about our personal victories, even if others wouldn't see them as so. I received a coupon for Grubhub. I just could. not. resist. I built so many carts. McDonald's (mmm... McNuggets), Hot dogs (local made, gourmet!), Taqueria (sopes el pastor, yum!), Vietnamese egg rolls (crunchy deliciousness!) I settled on my true love ... Thai food. Green papaya salad, pananag curry, nam tok (ground pork with peanuts and spices). You know what I didn't get, rice or noodles (Pad See Ew, I miss you!). I even just ate the meat and veg out of the curry, left the calorie laden sauce behind. So even though ordering in food may not have been as wise as making my own food. I'm proud of myself for making good choices, when there were so many poor ones I could have made.

Eating out during soft food stage
Soup! Definitely preempt the questions about how little you're eating by making some excuse. Been ill, had a late lunch, something.
