Eating out during soft food stage

I am 6 days out from my sleeve surgery. Feeling great! I have a very dear friend coming in town who wants to meet up for dinner in 2 weeks. For reasons I dont even want to go into on here, I do not want to tell her about my WLS. I will be in the “soft foods stage” ... is there somewhere I can go out with her and not blow my cover?

I’m in the soft food stage now and I can barely eat 1/2 a cup of food at each sitting so it’s going to be hard for ppl not to notice :( maybe tell her that you haven’t been feeling good and you’ve lost your appetite and you have a dr appt soon? Otherwise, order soft green beans and mashed potatoes :)

Soup!

Definitely preempt the questions about how little you're eating by making some excuse. Been ill, had a late lunch, something.

I vote for Soup!
Soup ? n say you dont feel well.

Go out for coffee!

Or brunch and have oatmeal/yogurt/cottage cheese/scrambled eggs.

Agreed.

Order soup or something soft and just say you’re not very hungry. It’s simple.
