Saggy Sophie no more. Plastic surgery to the rescue!
Catching up @Sophie7713! I'm glad you're doing so well! You look amazing. Thank you for posting up the pics. I'm sure many people who are considering plastics will appreciate your openness! You did have muscle tightening, so that explains the sharp pain getting in and out of bed. I had the same, and even at 8 weeks I can still feel soreness from that more than anywhere else. But a tight flat tummy and defined waist is the benefit, so worth it IMO.

Taken me so long to respond, sorry! Yes, I'm feeling really good. There are some residual issues, but they for the most part don't affect me too much. I also had 4.5 lbs taken off. Amazing, isn't it? I like the fact my surgeon had a lot of drains and some stayed a full two weeks. They kept the swelling away while they were in. I'm glad because I got to see I really do have a flat tummy now, and it's swelling that is making it poochy, not excess tissue. It's the fact you didn't have the muscle tightening is what is allowing you to stand up straight. It's nice that you avoided that. My stomach muscles are still off and on painful now nearly 8 weeks out.

I am terribly hair unadventurous (we can't all be @AngieBear ?), same cut, just varying lengths, but always below my shoulders. Well my hairdresser went rogue the week before last, and my hair is drastically shorter than it ever has been. You know what, I like it, I like it a lot. And even equally hair unadventurous people in my life, my bf, who loves my hair long, and my mom, who I inherited the unadventurous trait from really, sincerely like it as well. So this could be an opportunity to find you like your hair shorter or in a different style.

Meal prep for the bf, non bariatric portions Thai Red Curry with Chicken and Brown Rice The curry sauce broke and curdled, so it looks awful, but at least still tastes good. Asian Smoked Yellow Tail Salad (dressing not pictured)

Super duper big important meeting week is over. These were my two final outfits of the week. The meeting activities necessitated pants and practical shoes It was a REALLY interesting week. It was the first time anyone work related has seen me post plastics. And additionally there were people attending that hadn't seen me post WLS either. On top of all that, I had a new haircut (my hairdresser took liberties ?) and some facial tweaking (eyelashes, filler, botox). So as you can imagine there were many different reactions. All the way from no reaction to OMG reactions. But overall I felt confident and pretty fantastic. Of course closing a really successful year at work may have had something to do with it as well ?

So much to catch up on @Snapcase- You look fantastic and are an amazing photographer, and you put booties on Fiona ? @Sophie7713 Those flats remind me of Dorothy ? My hair color is a dark ash blonde. I very very lightly fake tanned my legs, so they weren't quite as ghostly white ? (and I am officially in love ? w Bobby!) @FluffyChix you asked "Which one do you feel most confident in/like the best?" on the 3 outfit day I posted. You know, I love all of them. The casual errands is me most of the time. The jeans, sneakers and sweater, I felt really casual/cute. Then the snake print palazzo pants I felt very put together and fashion forward. @Winchell I agree, I love the baby blue sweater, but i a small size it would show off all your hard work @BayougirlMrsS The grey and black keyhole top dress is here https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K845TFL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also have the short sleeve black w tropical flower top dress, and I love it as well. As an aside, I love that I can wear and feel confident in inexpensive clothes. I used to buy nearly every work outfit from Nordstroms and pay 4x-5x's the price @ms.sss Glad you had better luck w your Shein purchases then I did! @Deedee12 Singapore??? #vacationenvy! We need vacay pics! @Goody222 Looking fab! Welcome! On the plantar fasciitis issue ... I wonder if being barefoot more often prevents it? I was just thinking that I am barefoot, or in flip flops, and similar zero support shoes nearly all the time. Definitely part of the local lifestyle, especially living at the beach. That made me think most of the population of the world doesn't wear or even have access to supportive shoes. Does plantar fasciitis not exist in those populations or is it just something that is lived with?

Love the hair, but I have serious #eyebrow envy, they are beautifully shaped! And we have several of the same belts. I have the red one you've posted before in red, black and white ?

I got all dresses (except for the coat). Dresses that were all stretchy material were either fine or a touch big. Items that weren't stretchy were too small. Three dresses had supplice style tops, and two were way too large, and one was fine. So just all over the place!

My Plastic Surgery Thread
I wasn't told any time frame, but I didn't ask. The instructions just put the fear in me because except for this one topic my surgeon was pretty much 'your surgery is done, there isn't much you can do to affect the outcome either positively or negatively'. So this is one of the few thing I was told specifically to not do. I don't believe scar massage though falls under these instructions for me at this point. I can feel the solid scar tissue underneath. So breaking that up would only be a positive.

I also got a Shein order, and also 7 items ?, 6 dresses and 1 coat. The coat for me is the only total win, it looks great, IMO. I will keep two dresses. One is a maybe for work, and a yes for date night, and one is just for looking hoe-ish on date night. I don't love either dress, but they were exceptionally cheap so they're worth keeping. Sizing for me was inconsistent. The jacket is a small, it fits well, but would be tight if I needed layers underneath. The dresses I got 6/M. Some were fine, some were too large and some were too tight.

Thanks everyone! I got a LBL not to have to deal w a poochy tummy ever again. I think the points made about me not being 100% comfortable are spot on. Another consideration is swelling was down when I took that pic, so on the actual meeting day it is likely to be worse. I have one faux wrap dress picked out that skims the belly and makes me feel fab. But, I need a second dress (and 3 pants outfits, but that's easier). I have like 75 dresses coming over the weekend, so maybe I'll find a winner. This dress is in the solid maybe category until then. Also don't think there is need to hide the boobs, it's not like you are showing alot of cleavage or anything, and they look awesome (I dont see any asymmetry in height ether...) My boob issue is two fold. The asymmetry isn't a big concern. Someone would have to take a GOOD look to see it in clothes. But my breast shape, especially the right is odd, similar to the below pic, but not as extreme. So there needs to be something going on at the neckline to distract from the shape, which is why the cowl neck works. V necks also work, but I have to make sure it's not showing too much boob. My company is Asian, and pretty conservative. So I'm comfortable in fitted clothes, but not anything too short or too low. are you wearing your butt panties since having the LBL? Lol, YES! Butt panties in place in the pic. I HAD a cute little perky butt at first after LBL, but it was apparently swelling. Just last weekend after I got out of the shower my bf says "Babe! I think you lost your little butt!" ? Do you have a silver chain belt? Not sure if i would wear this at a high profile meeting. I would lean more to a cute skirt and probably button down shirt I don't own a chain belt, but do have several in my "Saved for Later" Amazon cart. (Did you guys know it will only hold 500 items? ?) I have never done the button down shirt thing, I don't even own any or have any in my cart. I'll put figuring out of I can pull that off on my to do list, but no time before my meetings next week. Thanks again everyone! To be continued!
