  1. This is the right answer .... That's a big assumption. You think surgeons is France, Italy, Spain all view wine consumption the way you and your surgeon does? A sip could effect you like several glasses? That is impossible/improbable I get that you personally disapprove very strongly, but why resort to scare tactics? "permanent damage to your liver" "toxic reactions" "you get drunk from one sip" from "one tiny glass of white wine"??

My competitive nature compels me to throw my hat in the ring So I call @ms.sss's Toronto on the legal weed, and raise you on dispensary density And I KNOW Toronto doesn't have this ..... What I can't compete on is the hot niece or the general *thirstiness* in this thread ? ?

I actually looked into getting a domestic skunk! We have quite the population in my neighborhood and they are so cute (but scary!) But apparently they are pretty demanding pets, i.e. not compatible with my airplant lifestyle ? BTW, loving the neutrals and loafers again!

Your coordination level is right up there with @november11 I get the accessorizing fear. Just ease into it I think I very thoughtfully accessorize my outfits, but my bf just told me, "I know you don't really like jewelry or anything" So I guess #fail on my part ?

@shanza I'd even take a possum as a pet at this point ? On the OOTD topic, I love that button down shirt. I don't know if I even own one ?

I'm the opposite ... I love shopping for the sake of it, and am much more inclined to replace inexpensive things over and over. I hate repeating outfits. (I have the benefit of not working in an office, so that makes it easier) This thread has made it much easier for me to remember what I was wearing when I saw different people. Interesting aside, my boss told me he knows I'm still losing weight (I'm not) because I never wear the same outfit. Ummm, I did the same thing pre WLS, and he just never noticed.

  21. As most have said, it is very individual. It's very dependent on the flexibility of your job. I'm home based, and have a lot of autonomy. I technically took 0 time off because except for the time I was under anesthesia I was capable of answering emails and phone calls.
  22. I travel for work and I started 3 weeks post op. I was somewhat run down, but entirely manageable, IME.
  23. @CapyCapybara I started out with similar stats as you, and it also took 40-50 lbs for anyone to say anything. Even losing 120 lbs now there have been many people who have said absolutely nothing. Agree with others, it can be an awkward subject that people don't want to bring up for a variety of reasons. Once you have gotten to goal or close and are feeling confident, it can be sort of fascinating to watch people's reactions. There will be those who introduce themselves to you even though you have known them for years. There will be those who are like "OMG, YOU LOOK AMAZING! YOU MUST HAVE LOST 40 LBS!" (when you've actually lost 100 ?). There will be those that complement your hair or new glasses. I view it like a sociological experiment at this point.
  24. I have not had a lift, but did a lot of reading before my plastics last year. The general impression I got is that a donut lift is insufficient and leads to sub optimal results in most cases. I suggest research research research. Realself has a lot of fake reviews, but is also a great resource.
