  1. I had 4 weeks off, I didn't realise how tired I would be. I went back on week 5 and it nearly wiped me out. By week 6 all was well. It just depends on the person and the type of job they do.
  2. You look so beautiful and love the long dress!!
  3. I wish I had been awake when I read your question !! lol
  4. I started on Tuesday, just shakes and water! So this is my day 3. Its been easier than I thought it would be but I have had a blinding headache I am doing 4 days... Will report in at the end
  5. I had my first shower 2 days after the surgery and stood with the Water more on to my back than my front. How long? Depends on how you feel. I was quite tired so once I had washed my hair and 'bits' I was out. Enjoy!
  6. It’s normal to be nervous before the surgery, I think we all go through the questioning in our heads. Is this right for me? Will it be painful? How am I going to cope with so little food in the first few months? And on and on. However we all get through it and I can honestly say that it’s been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Believe in yourself and your inner strength, you CAN do it. As for things to take to the hospital I would advise (For one night): Loose clothes to go home in. Something to read (such as magazines, which you can just pick up and put down in between walking, sipping, sleeping, walking sipping) Gas-x strips Soap, toothpaste and toothbrush. Nightwear/underwear I stayed 3 nights and 4 days and so in addition I took and found helpful: Kindle Face wipes Lip Balm Phone and charger Shampoo and body wash 3 x nightwear I spent most of the time in between the walking etc either in bed sleeping or watching tv/reading or being checked over by the health professionals, especially in the first day. My husband brought a pillow to put over my tummy so the seat belt didn't dig in for the drive home. Otherwise the hospital provided everything else I wanted. Best of luck for the surgery and for a very speedy recovery!!
  7. I am a side sleeper but had to wait until about week 3 before feeling comfortable to sleep on my side. First night was BLISS
  8. I know a lot of people write down how many pounds each week or month but I have never done that. I can't even remember what I lost in the first month as it didn't matter as long as I was losing, either lbs or inches. I used to weigh every day but don't do that now. I think I will go back to that once maintaining so I can keep an eye on it and nip it in the bud if I need to. Everyone loses at a different rate so as others have said don't pin your hopes on what others have achieved. As for 2lbs, I am sure you will do that! Good luck for the surgery and a speedy recovery
  9. Truth is good, its just how its put over at times. You know the saying, "it's not what you say, it's how you say it" thing.

  12. I use a 24oz bottle and start the day with a 24oz Protein latte. I refill it with Water mid morning.. In the afternoon and evening. I used to drink a lot of water before vsg and I am lucky that I still can. Carry a bottle where ever you are and drink all day. Good luck!
