  1. Congratulations and what a fantastic way to start a new year!
  2. @@KiraCat Congratulations and speedy recovery
  3. Well done on the weight loss and getting your health back on track !
  4. I have never lost 86 lbs in 4 months before so I feel as if my weight has 'fallen off'. For me, I'm not worrying about the weight dropping, I know I am going to freak out when maintenance hits. THEN I will struggle. For some it does drop off, some are steady and slow. Its all good
  5. I have learnt to stop eating when I feel sated rather than full. Most days I manage to eat the Protein side of my meal but sometimes can't finish the rest. I do have four meals a day so its not too long until my next meal. Measure everything don't just guess the size and maybe stay off red meat for a little longer. That may help. Best of luck and congratulations!
  6. Congratulations! Best wishes for a good surgery and speedy recovery
  7. YaY! Congratulations for the NSV and having the surgery
  8. @@VSGAnn2014 The point is you do what works for you and yes, I am doing it right, for ME
  9. Wow, sounds like I have been doing it all wrong... Hang on though. At four months I am having 100g of Protein a day 100 + oz fluids and over 1000 (sometimes 1100) calories a day. I work out twice a week in the gym and swim when I can. Just because I have lost so much in 4 months doesn't mean I am doing it wrong, neither do I look sick or too thin. I would have been just as happy losing 8lbs a month and keeping it off!! It's not a race. I never kept a diary or note of how much I lost each week, that never interested me. As long as I was losing I was fine. If I stalled, I was fine. As long as you are following the plan, that's all that counts. It doesn't matter if we lose 5lbs a month or 20lbs. If you work with your sleeve, your body will work for you. Best of luck
  10. Congratulations... you are doing great ????
  11. It's probably gas but it might be an idea to check with your team.
  12. What has experiencing morbid obesity in life taught you? That it can stop you from living life to the full Is there anything you don't want to forget about your former life as you drop weight and hit goal? Yes, everything. It will keep me focused. What changes do you envision in your life just because of weight loss? More intimacy with my husband, more clothes that I like rather then 'will do' (hurrah) and doing things I couldn't do before!!
  13. As @ said, appeal the decision. Best of luck!
  14. Keep strong, it might take time but will be worth it in the end. Totally agree with@karen091866. Hugs
  15. I think I covered all bases when I met with my surgeon so can't really help in that but just wanted to wish you well for the meeting tomorrow
  16. I have lost 86lbs in just over 4 months but I am eating well, certainly not undernourished and have 12 lbs to goal. Maybe if we eat well, the body will just stop at its natural weight. When I was thinking about it today (funny you should do this post!) I pondered about reducing my goal weight. Now I have said that I will probably stall for the next few months lol
  17. I guess it depends on the meal you are eating too. Some foods need longer chewing time however I usually take 15 to 25 minutes.
  18. I am no expert nor an I a medically trained but I would expect you to be weak only having 3 meals a day at your stage (do you supplement that with any Protein drinks?) I stayed in for the first few weeks and rested and I felt weak even doing that! You have been through a massive surgery so be kind to yourself and don't overdo it. Are you logging all your meals and working out the protein/calories etc etc Are you drinking enough? Being dehydrated can cause dizziness. Contact your team or GP to be sure! Congratulations
  19. Lol, I will remember for next time Kathy and thanks!
  20. Lol love it. There's a similar one re insurance claims which is very funny too. Thanks for sharing
  21. Congratulations ! You must be excited, not long to go!!
  22. I steer clear of fruits but some every now and again won't harm.
  23. My emotions and moods were up the creek after the surgery but it does pass. I came off HRT and anti-depressants 6 weeks before the surgery and had to stay off for 6 weeks after so I put it down to that but it's very common from reading the boards here and elsewhere. Really hope you feel better soon. Be kind to yourself.
