I felt great coming out and walked almost immediately. However my doc only gave Toradol and I went without for almost 9 hrs. I cried like a baby, the gas pains were comparible to child birth. Only one serious episode though. Now just completely distended on post op day 4. Very little pain though. I would say walk and sit up right, and use your incentive spirometer... But I did that above and beyond and it didn't help. The good thing is it will pass. Hang in there.

Thank you for responding. I have only lost 4-5 lbs and am drinking only clear liquids. My stomach is very distended, taut but not rigid. I hope so Kate, is a bit concerning. no tube left in, just sleeved.

Hello All, Newbie here, sleeved 12/06. 4 days post op. My concern is my abdomen is so distended and taut. Its uncomfortable due to the gas. I feel fine otherwise. Getting my liquids in, walking a lot, very little incisional pain, but the gas, which of course, does not move is so uncomfortable. Is this normal, or should I be concerned? Thank you in advance for any and all advise.

Hello Sleevers, I am a newby and am having real concerns. My abdomen is so distended and seems to be getting worse. I feel fine, am without a temp, on Clear liquids, and with only mild incisional pain. Can anyone please advise? Beetrow
