  1. I had a chest infection recently and went right off food. I stuck to Protein Latte, protein drinks and bars and gave the exercise up for a week. Listen to your body, rest, take it easy and you should be fine in no time
  2. It's a tool not a miracle. If people misuse it, they will gain over time. I have no wish to do that. But then, I am perfect hahahahahahaha (Just put that there in case I gain, then you can all shout at me lol)
  3. 145.2 I am 5.2 from goal so happy for anything right now! Whohoooooo
  4. I was asked to stay on the liver diet for two weeks before surgery (I did it for 18 days in the end). My surgeon asked me to do it to shrink the liver rather than lose weight so didn't set a target.
  5. I was a complete b**ch for a couple of weeks and was shocked my husband decided to stay lol. At lot of people go through this. It's seems par for the course. Congrats on the surgery
  6. Yes, please have your thyroid checked. Please make sure you post here and still get support. I do really feel for you x
  7. Well done !! Keep up the good work
  8. I used Optimum Nutrition milk chocolate and double chocolate. I love the flavour and mix it with 4oz water rather than milk as I find it too sweet with milk (and heavy on the carbs).
  9. Thanks for doing this ! SW: 146 GW: 141
  10. I am on HRT and 5 months out. I have started to have the sweats throughout the day. That intermittent with freezing to death makes a fun day of dressing warm then stripping off. Following the topic !
  11. Last weigh in 146.1 whoohooo broke my goal. Happy new year everyone and well done !! Thanks Steph
  12. Just after surgery and up to a month ago I had to remember to eat. I set my alarm for meal times. Now 5 months after surgery I still don't have hunger but all of a sudden my body tells me I need to eat. It's hard to explain but it's working for me. I have cut down from 6 meals a day to 3 and one snack.
  13. I so needed to read this now. Thank you for sharing ☺
  14. I grazed all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I picked at everything and had one beer each day. I really enjoyed myself for the 2 days but now I'm back on track. It only becomes a biggie when i eat more for 2 weeks or 2 months however that's not going to happen ever again. Do I feel guilty? Hell no.. I enjoyed myself but understood I had to stop. You are doing great so forget it.... a new day is a new start and one I know you can do !!
  15. Good luck to everyone having the surgery today and speedy recovery ☺
  16. Its good that you are able to get that in after 12 days, many people really struggle and as Dub said you will certainly feel it once you start on food! When I had the sleeve, initially I felt that my surgeon hadn’t taken enough away. Had he actually done anything??? Then I had more solids and really knew he had. Congrats on the surgery and welcome to the losers bench
  17. 149.8 Bah Humbug Christmas Holiday !! Back on Track and will update next week. Have gone past my goal for the 31/12/2015 anyway but hope to report a loss next week!
  18. With a positive attitude like that @@jembell01 you will do great working with the sleeve!! Best wishes for Tuesday and a speedy recovery
  19. Sara, best of luck for tomorrow and a speedy recovery! My hubby took nude pics of me front, side and back. Then when I lost 50lbs he took them again. When I hit 90lb loss he took more. I occasionally look at then to track my progress and to keep me focused. When I look at the first ones he took, I can hardly remember that woman. I'm 55 years young and only just doing stuff I should have done years ago! Its the very best thing I have ever done (apart from the hubby and the kids of course ) and it's given me a second chance at life!
  20. Nice heartfelt post and wishes... Hope your 2016 is perfect for you!!
  21. Congratulations and I have such respect for you getting back on track! You are awesome
  22. I was exhausted for about 5 weeks after surgery. I can't believe that some sleevers go straight back to work! I slept on and off all day (in between walking and drinking fluids) and then all night for at least the first 3 weeks. Everyone is different and some have energy soon after surgery but I didn't. Listen to your body. If it's telling you to sleep then sleep! Congratulations and speedy recovery
  23. Initially I made a decision only to tell my husband, best friend and friends/work colleagues I go for lunch with during the week. My Manager knew too. I left it like that for weeks and that's how I wanted it to stay. However the week before the surgery date, some people at work had noticed that I was marked off sick for a month on our team calendar and asked if I was having issues with my neck (I have spinal stenosis) and decided have an op and I just told them the truth. For me, at that time, It felt quite liberating!! Also I didn't care what they thought, they don't live my life. I have had nothing but support and encouragement from them all and I work in a team of 64 people. Good luck with whatever you decide. REMEMBER this is about you, not them.
  24. First one is day of surgery (23/07/2015) Second is after surgery Third is Christmas day, 5 months out and 90.2llbs down. I have gone from a UK 24 (USA 20) to a UK 14 or some 12's (USA 10/8) . I'm absolutely over the moon with happiness !! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, WORK HARD AND REAP THE REWARDS
