I prefer chocolate doesn't really leave a funny taste. I am wondering what brand everyone likes and how much protein it has.

There are so many flavors and options out there all you can do is try till you find ones you like. I've tried at least 2 dozen different brands and flavors and I'd say I LOVE about a 1/3 of them, another 1/3 are OK, and the last 1/3 are totally gross and you couldn't pay me to drink them.

I currently have unflavored, vanilla, chocolate, cake batter, cherry, lemonade, peach, strawberry, piña colada, banana, grape and apple flavor powders in my cupboard and use pureed fruit, Torani syrups and PB2 to add even more variety.

But taste is so subjective, what I like may make you gag. Nashua Nutrition offers dozens of sample sizes. unjury and Jay Robb sell starter kits with different samples. You can get variety packs of Syntrax nectar on Amazon. Lots of whole food and health food stores sell individual packets.

All of mine have 20-30g protein per serving and less than 5g sugar. I also mix mine with twice as much Water or milk as instructed. Otherwise they are just too thick and sweet for me.

Brands I like....Muscle Milk, Syntrax nectar, Syntrax Matrix, Spurutein, unjury, Syntha-6, Body Fortress, Quest, Chike, Raw Fit, Raw Protein and some Jay Robb flavors.

Brands I didn't like....Isopure, Bariatric fusion, Bariatric Advantage, SDC Nutrition, SAN Raw Fusion, Celebrate ENS, Protizyme, and some Jay Robb flavors.

But like I said before, taste is very subjective.

I used Optimum Nutrition milk chocolate and double chocolate. I love the flavour and mix it with 4oz water rather than milk as I find it too sweet with milk (and heavy on the carbs).

Theres so many choices out there. I like the Vitamin Shoppe brand, Optimum Nutrition, and Click coffee protein.

Unflavored for me. I like having more options of what to mix it in and milk just doesn't sit right after surgery.

I use the Syntrax Nectar. My favorite is the Vanilla Bean. I put frozen fruit in it & sometimes I add a little yogurt. I also mix it with Silk milk. I can't stand it with water. Everyone's taste is different. I've tried stuff other people liked & I couldn't tolerate it. I also like the chocolate & strawberry Premier Protein shakes.

Muscle Milk and SlimFast-High Protein, both in chocolate are both okay with me. Taste okay, and have 20g protein, just 2-3g of sugar, and also a little healthy fat mixed in to give 180 calories total in an 11oz shake - while this is about weight loss, you need to have *some* calories.
