I know you can't sit in a bath after surgery, just a shower, but for how long?

I had my first shower 2 days after the surgery and stood with the Water more on to my back than my front.

How long? Depends on how you feel. I was quite tired so once I had washed my hair and 'bits' I was out.

You can shower, but no bath or pool (or hot tub) for 2 weeks post surgery, according to my post op instructions from my surgery center.

My surgeon told be I could swim again once my scabs had healed to prevent bacteria from getting inside the incisions. Mileage varies from person to person, I imagine.

Ditto. I was told a bath, pool, etc... was fine once the incisions had scabbed over.

When incisions are healed up. This will prevent bacteria from penetrating and causing infection. So generally a couple of weeks of so.
