Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
I tend to do better when I eat a small amount every 2-3 hours. I am probably going to have to start doing that again. I hadn't thought about eating oatmeal before running. I may try that Wednesday.

Great NSV Leslie!! DH had a cousin visit today that lives near Atlanta and she just couldn't believe how much weight I have lost. It was nice to hear it from someone who had not seen me in such a long time.

Dr. John Bagnato - Labor Day Challenge
Thanks Nip! You have lost a lot of weight very consistently, so maybe your body just needs to catch up a bit. I'm sure you will start losing again soon. You've done so well and if anyone can make it to goal, it's YOU!!

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
WTG Leslie! That first run was the hardest for me... Well, I did day one of week one again this evening. I am completely pooped. It was a little strange....it felt harder than it did on Saturday. I've been on the go all day today and I don't think I ate enough. I did eat a few triscuits about an hour before my run but I just ran out of fuel today. I did it though! I struggled on the last interval a little but I made it through. Keep up the good work everyone!! Renewed~ You are turning into a running machine!! You go!!

Great pics Renewed! I can tell you were working hard to cross that finish line, and that's all that counts! I can not for the life of me get the Rocky song out of my head now. I've been humming it since you mentioned it, lol. Be sure to take pictures of the next one too.

WTG Renewed! You'll be running that 5K before you know it! I'm invisioning you (as I type) running across the finish line in slow motion and hearing the Rocky music, and of course the arms in the air, lol! Too funny! I can't wait until I run my first 5K! Mamato3~ WTG! Good for you! Y'all are giving me hope that I'll one day get there too....

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
Kathy~ Yes, I am going to repeat week one. I think I will probably start tomorrow, and do it 4 times next week, resting a day between each workout. Congrats on the sugar level! I too have had sooo much more energy. My DH probably thinks I'm nuts because I was soooo hyper after my jog yesterday, lol! Well, I am pleased to say that I have lost weight this week! YAY!! I've been going back and forth from 246 to 249 for quite a while. When I started C25K I was 247, and this morning I was 244, so I am back at my ticker weight. I just can't describe how much better I feel. It's wonderful!

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
Thanks girl! I know, I can't wait to get Wii Fit. DH and I did a little boxing tonight and it was quite a work out. I noticed my legs are already sore from my jog today....I may not be able to walk tomorrow either. My upper outer thighs are what is the most sore.....I didn't even think about those muscles being used very much....

Thanks mama! Yes, I was on a high for quite a while. I did wait until about 7:30 and the heat wasn't quite so bad. Just those darn gnats...I almost choked on one halfway through my run, lol! With all the heavy breathing I was doing, I'm surprised I didn't didn't inhale the the whole swarm, lol.

Nervious & Anxious
Hi and congrats on your upcoming surgery. It is wonderful that you have a friend going through this with you. This site is wonderful with support but having an actual real-life friend in the same situation is going to be great for both of you. I don't think you will have a problem looking too bony. Once you get to goal, your doctor can evaluate the Fluid in your band and adjust it if necessary. If you continue to lose after reaching goal, you can have fluid removed so you will be able to eat more. Good luck to you and keep us posted!

Hi, I have had my first appt. with the Dr.
Hi Emilie and welcome to LBT! Congrats on your upcoming surgery. My surgery went pretty well. I had quite a bit of nausea the first week after but got through it without vomiting. I think it was partly due to dehydration. So, keep sipping those liquids. Recovery time is different for everyone. Some people go back to work within a few days. Just listen to your body and take it easy until you heal. Good luck!

Dr. John Bagnato - Possible Leak!!
Hey everyone! I just thought I would update y'all on my restriction level. It's actually holding pretty good. I had my very first sliming incident today. I was eating triscuits before my jog and started sliming. Luckily I did not PB, but I had a pretty tight feeling in my upper chest and lower throad area. I've had good restriction the last few days so y'all keep your fingers crossed that it stays, lol!

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
Oh, I did eat a few triscuits about 35 minutes before my jog and I think it helped out a lot!
