  1. Wow, just finished day 3 of week 1. I am definitely on a high right now. I am amazed at how good today went. I really didn't even get that tired until the last 2 intervals. My breathing was so much better today. To think I could only last 12 minutes on Tuesday! I think I am still going to repeat week one again though. I'd rather be safe than sorry. My biggest fear in this is that I will get overwhelmed and quit.....so, I am going to take it slow. I'm still on a high! It feels great!!!
  2. WTG Renewed! It is so inspiring to see how the progression of Cto5k gets better and better with each run. Later this evening I will do day 3 of week one and I'll take it from there I guess. I think I am going to run a little later in the evening so it won't be soooo hot. I have a question for all of you. Do y'all drink water while you run or like a low calorie energy drink? I'm just curious because I almost ran out of fuel last time. I do think I will eat a small serving of some type of healthy carb before my run today and see if that helps.
  3. Gooooooooood Morning!!
  4. WTG Sugarbean! Sounds like you are moving right along. I wish I could run in 67 degree weather.....it's more like 94 degree weather here, lol. It's rough but at least I burn a lot of calories! Keep up the great work!
  5. Whosya~ I agree. You are such a motivator and an inspiration to what we all hope to be. Thanks for all the support!
  6. Leslie~ You know I am all for it. It sounds like a lot of fun and it's for such a worthy cause. I'm really excited that you are doing C25K with me. So, hopefully it will work out to where we can all go.
  7. Allykat~ Congrats on getting your cast off! I also often lose inches and not pounds too. I really haven't lost any weight in quite a while but I can definitely tell a difference in my clothes. Maybe it's our body trying to catch up with the weight loss, I dunno? But, any loss is good, whether it's inches or pounds. Good luck with exercising! Mia~ I am so sorry for your brother and sister-in-law's loss. I can't even imagine what they must be going through. They will be in my thoughts and prayers.
  8. Good for you Leslie! I haven't lost any weight this week but I've been doing really good. I ran yesterday, so today is my off running day. I think DH and I will play Wii tonight. Probably boxing, it's a wonderful workout. Let's go everyone! We can make our goals!
  9. I know what you mean. I just got back on track and I was off for quite a while. Getting my head in it is the hardest part. I made myself go to bed early(ish) last night. I am soooo hungry at night and that's when I tend to fall off the wagon. So, I am going to try to go to bed earlier from now on. I think it will make a big difference. I have felt so much better this week since I started the C25K. I have more energy and I just feel better in general. I don't do too bad on the eating part. I just need to focus on activity and keep moving.
  10. LOL. Girl, you won't break the treadmill. I've been running outside in this terrible heat. I do think it makes me burn more calories though. So far, I've had no trouble with knee pain. Surprisingly, I haven't even been that sore. A little today, but not bad. Anyway, good luck with day one and let us know how it goes.
  11. Hey girl! Sorry but I just got your PM. I've been doing some house cleaning....fun stuff, lol. I'm so glad you are joining! Don't worry about coming in late. I only just finished day 2 of week one, so I'm right there with ya. Good luck on your first day and let us know how it goes!
  12. Nip, I've been wondering the same thing! Maybe everyone is having fun on vacation? I dunno. I'm actually starting to get back on track with my eating and exercising. Just finished day 2 of couch to 5k yesterday and it went much better than day 1. At one point during my jog, I was burning 13.6 calories a minute....pretty cool! Anyway, hopefully all the non-posting Bagnato Bandits will stop in and let us know how they are doing. I miss talking to all of you. Have a great day everybody!
  13. No, we don't Wii Fit yet. We plan on getting it though. We just need to save some money first. Plus, it's so hard to get right now anyway. I haven't tried the golf yet. I never really got into gold I guess but I will eventually give it a try. I like the bowling, tennis, and boxing. I've beat DH in bowling every time so far. And I LOVE to win, lol! Just checked out your profile album and you look GREAT! Congrats on your weight loss. You have done really well!
  14. Me too, lol! I have no idea what is going on... Anyway, congrats on the jeans! That's wonderful! Can't wait to get where you are.
  15. I don't know why scrambled eggs are so hard to go down for me. I guess it's just one of the foods that is not going to agree with my band. I made deviled eggs and some egg salad the other day and both went down fine. I think everyone knows I love the Tostito's brand spinach dip. Well, I used it instead of mayo in my deviled eggs and egg salad and it was very good. It's less calories than mayo and is just as creamy, plus it adds more flavor. My deviled eggs aren't greasy either. I don't think I've ever had greasy deviled eggs, lol.
  16. Hi and welcome to LBT! Losingjusme is right, there is a lot of info here on this site. It's just a matter of searching around and finding it. You might could try googling "longterm effects of lap band" and see what comes up. Good luck to you and your wife in your weight loss journey, however you decide to do it. Take care.
  17. Hi amarie677! Congrats on your upcoming surgery and good luck!
  18. Whoa Froggi! What did I miss? Who's being mean to you? PM me if you don't want to post it. I hate being out of the loop, lol. And you absolutely can NOT leave this site. We like you waaayyy too much!
  19. WTG Kathy! That's wonderful about your blood sugar! I expected to be extremely sore this morning too but so far so good. I am actually looking forward to running on Saturday. I think DH and I will play the Wii tonight for some exercise.
  20. LOL. I stayed on for about 5 minutes after that post and went to bed. I must not have signed out, lol. I think C25K is making me tired enough to go to bed early for a change....
  21. WTG Renewed! I'm glad you did it! I think I'm about to turn in too. Nite everyone!
  22. Watchout~ Hi! It sounds like you are doing really well. I'm right there with ya, my legs are already feeling sore. I imagine I won't be able to walk tomorrow, lol. I'm so glad you are joining us. You are doing really well. Keep up the good work! Renewed~ Girl, you could never let me down. You've been inspiring me for months. You are rockin' your weight loss and I'm proud of you. Kudos to you for getting up and putting on those running shoes. I know you'll feel really good afterwards. Keep on keepin' on!
  23. Okay, so I did day 2 of week 1 today and I have to say it was a little easier than day 1. I was able to finish the entire jog today! YAY!!!! I downloaded the podrunner interval music today and it made it much easier. I used a stopwatch (and no music) Tuesday and found myself staring it the whole time..... After about the 5th interval, I found myself having to talk myself through the rest of it. But that's okay because it worked!! When I felt like giving up, I would tell myself just keep going until I get to that tree or that speed bump. I feel such a feeling of accomplishment today! Everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work!!
  24. Lyn~ Glad your surgery went fine and you are home recovering. Take care and keep us posted. Ang~ Good job!! I'm glad you posted. I am inspired by your progress. Keep up the good work. Mcgreen~ You are cheering everyone on well. I really appreciate the positive comments.
  25. Annika~ I'm so glad you are back to the program. Congrats for getting started again. Great job girl!
