  1. Hey Kathy! Congrats on your first run. I'm going to do mine in just a while. I was banded 9-20-07. Yeah, the first run kicked my butt! I'm hoping today will be a little easier. I'm glad you enjoyed your first day of C25K! Good job!!!
  2. Welcome Kathy! I am right there with you. I just started Tuesday so I will be doing day 2 of week 1 today. I was (and still am) worried about my size and running. In fact, I do more waddling than running, lol. But that's okay. The important thing is that we are moving. I will probably repeat week 1 so don't feel like you have to move on unless you are ready. Day 1 was pretty rough but I am hopeful that today will be much better. I run outside. It's hot as hades here too, lol. But, I don't have a treadmill and I really don't feel comfortable doing it at the gym right now. If I had a treadmill, I would definitely use it because the heat is just so bad. I'm really glad you joined. Now I have a buddy who is just starting like me. Good luck with your first day of C25K!
  3. Hi Jordan and welcome to LBT! Good luck with your surgery.
  4. It's been pretty quite lately. I was wondering about everyone as well... Leslie~ I'm glad you're feeling better. Hopefully you've found your sweet spot! I'm doing pretty good. I do still have some restriction, just not quite enough. I go back on the 29th for Leslie to measure my fluid again. I'm still hoping it was a miscalculation somewhere. I started the Couch to 5K this week and man...it's HARD. I was a little apprehensive about doing it but I'm glad I did. Hopefully I'll be jogging like a pro in no time, lol. Bagweaver~ I hope your next fill does the trick!
  5. Thanks for all the responses. I did end up making some the other day and they went down fine. No problems at all. I'm glad because I was missing eating eggs.
  6. That might be a good idea, especially after you are banded. I've heard horror stories of people swallowing their gum and having to have it surgically removed because it won't go down.
  7. Bonnie, the DDR sounds so fun! We just got a Wii last weekend and we are trying to decide which games to get. That sounds like a good one. I just noticed you are doing C25K before your surgery too! I'm so proud of y'all for getting started before surgery. I can tell y'all are going to be huge successes!!
  8. It's pretty bad when you know exactly who is doing this without even having to search.
  9. Congratulations!! Good job!!
  10. Whosyadaddy, you are rockin your band! You are truly an inspiration to us all! Congrats on your weight loss and your new active life.
  11. Posting to say that my body is in pain! Ugh, the joys of exercising...
  12. Thanks Cutie! I love your SN BTW....too cute! I wish I had some booty, lol. I wasn't very blessed in the booty department :frown:. I noticed your surgery date is less than a month away. I applaud you and Lyn (and others too I'm sure) for starting this before your surgery. That shows A LOT of commitment and dedication.
  13. Hello joylynn! Welcome to the group. I guess your fill went okay? I hope everything has gone smoothly for you since surgery. It's really nice to meet you and I look forward to chatting with you. Take care.
  14. Lyn~ Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I'll be praying you have a speedy recovery!
  15. Thanks. I googled after I posted and found a lot of them. I found some that cost as low as $19 so that's not too bad.
  16. Thank y'all for the support. My heart was beating too fast for me to time my heart rate but I am sure it was at it's max. I think I remember seeing some sort of watch type thing somewhere that keeps up with your heart rate. Anyone know? I have a bodybugg, but to my knowledge it doesn't record that.
  17. I was flipping throught the channels the other day and I stopped on Food Network. Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives was on and this man ordered a Quad burger. 4 Patties!! I nearly fainted! And he was a pretty small guy. It took him about 35 minutes to eat it. I also heard them say that they would do 5 patty burger upon request!
  18. WHEW! I am tired! I just finished my first day of C25K and all I have to say is, "Man....I am out of shape"! I knew I was out of shape but I didn't know I was THAT out of shape. I am seriously seeing spots right now. I was a little disappointed in myself because I was only able to go for 12 minutes. Then I realized that this is the first time I have ever attempted to jog and I am really proud of myself for doing those 12 minutes. Well, 17 minutes if you count the warm up, lol. I think I am safe in saying that I will be repeating week 1 again before moving on to week 2. Kudos to all of you that have made it as far as you have! I didn't think it would be this hard but I feel really good now that I'm done, lol. I will attempt to do this again on Thursday. I hope everyone has a great day!
  19. Yes, they do make triple whoppers....I ate one 2 days after my surgery. It was sooooo good since I was deprived from food for 2 whole days. Seriously, they do make them. I can't imagine anyone could eat it though. I don't think I could have eaten one even before my surgery...
  20. BBK, those are some smokin hot pics! Your legs look a mile long in the picture of you standing up.
  21. Big Macs? Sorry but those aren't enough for me. I prefer the triple whoppers. They are packed with protein, fat, carbs, dairy (cheese), and veggies (lettuce & tomato). If I order an apple pie, I've got all my food groups. It's genius!!! Bwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaa :tongue_smilie:
  22. Lunanoir~ Thanks. I will look for the old bay next time I go to the grocery store.
  23. I am so bummed. Mother nature was not on my side tonight. It has rained, and rained, and rained. I really shouldn't be complaining because we need the rain but I was so excited about starting today. I ended up going to the gym and doing the elliptical for 30 minutes. I started to run on the treadmill there, but there were a lot of people there and I just didn't feel comfortable. So, I guess I will be starting tomorrow, which is okay. I guess I'll shoot for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Renewed~ That's so strange. It seems like you shouldn't have lost muscle since you've been working out more. I dunno? I hope you find out what's going on though.
  24. BBK.....lookin hot girl! You look beautiful and I love the dress!
