  1. LOL! I lucked out, there were no customers in there....thank goodness!
  2. WTG Renewed! It's amazing how we cherish these little things that many people have never had to worry about. It makes the journey so special when things like that happen. Looks like the Couch to 5K is paying off!
  3. I used to work at a local bank, not real busy most of the time. Well, I had lost a bunch of weight on Atkins and I was walking across the lobby, headed for the restroom and my skirt fell to the ground! Talk about embarrassed!!! Needless to say, I never wore that skirt again, lol!
  4. I found SF rice pudding at my local grocer in individual containers. I can't remember what brand it was but it was really good. Very thick and filling. That reminds me...I need to get some more. It's great for night-time cravings.
  5. Amanda~ I am going to use the track at a nearby elementary school. I don't have a treadmil. I do have a membership at the gym but I just don't feel comfortable doing it there. Maybe eventually I will though...
  6. Armywife, would you post that recipe? It sounds DELISH! I tried making a tuna cake the other day and it didn't turn out so well. I bought some prepackaged crab cakes from Winn Dixie last week and all you have to do is bake them. They really didn't taste like they had that much crab in them though. It didn't stay together and had a mushy consistency. Lunanoir, I may try to make your recipe, but what is old bay? Is that the brand of crab meat you use?
  7. Turler, glad you are back and hope you had a wonderful vacation! Helllloooooo LilMiss and everyone else...
  8. Thanks NukeChik! I will check out ebay too and see what my best option will be. I'm excited to do the boxing. The tennis one worked my right arm to death, lol. I think boxing will be an even better workout since I'll be using both arms.
  9. Thank you Turler! I will keep checking. It's probably going to be a few weeks before we can buy it anyway because we need to save up some more money first. The Wii itself was pretty pricey....
  10. Leslie~ Let us know how it goes today! Hopefully a slight unfill will get you where you need to be. Bamboobabe~ Thank you! I really appreciate it.
  11. We just got a Wii this past weekend. It came with the Wii sports and we've been playing them all weekend. Where did all of you get the Wii Fit part of it? Did ya'll order online or buy it from a store? Walmart doesn't have them, here where I live. I got a pretty good workout in my arms and legs from doing the Wii Sports (tennis, baseball, and bowling). I think we are going to try the boxing out tonight. I suspect that will be a pretty good workout.
  12. They measured at the end of April and I had lost .50 cc, which they weren't very concerned about. At my last fill, I told her that I always lose my restriction after a week or so, so she measured again and I had lost .75 cc in a 2 month span. She refilled what I had lost and yet again, I had good restriction for about a week and now it's gone again. BBK, that's amazing about the dress! Girl, you are rockin! I agree with Shesmiles, you should post a pic of you in the dress....I would love to see it!
  13. Thanks Leslie! I'm glad you are able to get an unfill. How much fluid is in your band?
  14. Leslie~ The OTC will do an unfill without an appointment. I've never had to but Elizabeth said anytime you are too tight to come in and they will do an unfill. Sounds like you need one.
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Today is the big day. I will probably do it closer to dark though because it's hot as hades here in south Georgia. I'm excited though, bought a stop watch last night and can't wait to get started. We got a Wii over the weekend and we battled it out on tennis, baseball, and bowling. My arms, shoulders, and legs must have gotten a pretty good workout cause I'm sore. Ya'll are bringing back some fine memories. I used to throw down on some roller skates, lol. I could do some pretty sick flips too. I used to love gymnastics. Those were the good ol days. I can't wait to do some of those things again.
  16. Okay, I know I'm a little late coming into this but I'm going to start on Monday. I bought a pair of running shoes yesterday and I'm excited to get going. I'm still pretty heavy, so I worry about not being able to do it but I'm going to give it my all. Everyone has been doing so good. Keep up the good work!
  17. Thanks Susan and LilMiss! I am hoping it was just a miscalculation somewhere. But, it's second time I've lost fluid so I dunno? Anyway, thanks for the good thoughts....keep 'em coming, lol.
  18. Aww, thanks! I've been hesitant to post any new pics because I haven't lost any weight lately but I think I've lost some inches. Ya'll keep your fingers crossed that I don't have a leak. I haven't been able to hold restriction and I lost quite a bit of fluid (.75cc in a 2 month period) so I'm getting checked again at the end of the month.
  19. Howdy!!!!!
  20. BBK, you look absolutely stunning!! What a beauty you are. Hey, I love seeing all the new pics, so keep 'em coming....it gives me hope!
  21. LMJ~ I didn't think it was that harsh either. If it hadn't been for your post, it probably would have continued being a pampering party, thus condoning what was going on. IMO, that is not helpful to anyone. Susan~ Good post. You made some great points and hopefully people will think before they tell someone it's okay to cheat because they did it. I can honestly say that I don't always make the best food choices now, but I followed my post-op diet to a T. I'm amazed at how people show no concern for the damage they could do to their bands.....beyond amazed!
  22. Praying you continue to get better and have a quick recovery. Keep us updated.
  23. I can only speak for myself, but I thought the opening post was rather vague and had a certain "quality" that made me uncertain about it (kinda like an advertising quality with the wording and all the animated pictures). The Internet can be a scary place, especially when it comes to pictures that show skin. Just being cautious...I don't think I was wrong for that. BTW, I think it's okay to be concerned with skin issues. For me, it was a mixture of health and physical reasons as to why I got the band, but more health related. I do agree with Libra, losing weight alone probably won't solve all of your body image issues, so just be prepared for that. Best of luck to you.
  24. I agree Susan. People openly admit they are not following rules and ask for help, then get offended when people don't pamper and baby them. It get's really old...
  25. Great article! I get caught up in dieter's mentality a lot. It's something I definitely need to work on. Thanks for sharing this.
