  1. Thank you. Yes, I've had several plateaus, some that lasted quite a while. I'm having trouble keeping restriction, so I've been on this plateau for a long time. Most of the time I lose in spurts. Congrats on your weight loss too! That's great and you're almost at goal!
  2. OMGosh! See, I don't even visit those forums anymore because of stuff like that. It's ridiculous! Who goes out the country to get lap band and doesn't research or get dismissal information? Seriously, who does that? C'mon people!
  3. The hazelnut one sounds really good. I'll have to look for that next time I go. Thanks!
  4. Flower Faery~ Wow, what a difference! You look great! Keep up the good work.
  5. Ha! I know, I don't think I've ever seen so many smilies on one page...

Keri~ I have struggled with restriction so I know what it's like to be able to eat anything. Definitely talk to your doctor and nutritionist about this. For now, I wouldn't focus on the amount of food you are eating but instead the types of food you are eating. Like Kat said, focus on eating healthy food right now. If popcorn is something you are craving, buy some of the 100 calorie pack bags (kettle corn is good) and it's not so bad to eat a whole bag. But if you are truly hungry, try eating something more substantial that will stay with you longer. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
  7. I'm not trying to be rude but I'm a little confused as to why your only posts have been requesting to see scars and now people in swimsuits  It just seems a little strange that these are your first posts. Are you concerned with the scarring THAT much?
  8. Just sent it to you.
  9. Maybe it was meant to be per meal but it said "day". I sent you a PM.
  10. Apparently you could up your protein shake intake to 1/2 c a day (with nothing else of course) and still be okay. You might as well drink a couple of more sips if it will still work....
  11. I hate it when "experienced bandsters" give crappy advice. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I don't think 1/2 cup of food A DAY is enough. 1/2 cup per meal would be more understandable, but per day....GRRR!
  12. This is the best thing the coffee business has come up yet. I usually do my grocery shopping at Wal-Mart, but decided to go Winn Dixie since they have a better variety of products. Anyway, I've been thinking of buying a coffee maker but I'm the only coffee drinker in the house and I don't like instant coffee. Well, I was looking down the coffee aisle and I saw that Maxwell House had coffee singles! It's like tea bags except it's filled with fresh ground coffee. Perfect for just one cup. You just boil Water and steep it like tea. Very tasty and keeps me from having to buy a coffee maker. Just thought I would share.
  13. I lost a pound, even with TOM visiting! Wish it was more but I'll take it, lol! I haven't lost in so long...I forgot what it feels like! 14. Thank ya'll for thinking about me. Yesterday my restriction wasn't as good and it seems to be about the same today. So, I dunno? I guess I'll find out on the 29th. I'm just praying it will all work out if it is a leak. Thanks for checking up on me. I really appreciate it. I think part of the problem was Protein. With me not eating meat, I wasn't getting in enough protein. So, I've decided to add seafood to my diet. I've had some tuna and some tilapia and it's going good. I can handle seafood fine but I still won't be eating any other meats. I'm am loving all the fresh vegetables and fruits though. Last night I made a quick version of Ratatouille. Who knew I'd ever enjoy that, lol! Thanks again and I will keep ya'll updated! Have a great day!
  15. My son! He deserves a mom who can play on the floor, run around outside, etc. I want to do all the things with him that I got to do as a kid, like roller coasters, horseback riding, etc. I've already missed out on so much....
  16. I am one of those people who cannot handle scrambled eggs, with or without good restriction. I finally have some decent restriction now (WHOO HOO!). I was just wondering how deviled eggs would be. For those of you that can't handle scrambled eggs, can you eat deviled eggs okay? Do they go down better/worse/the same? I would just make some and try it out but my family doesn't like them and I don't want to go through the trouble of making them if I can't eat them because they would go to waste. Thanks!
  17. It's definitely your choice whether or not you get a fill. Just politely tell your doctor you don't need one. Surely it won't be problem. I can't do scrambled eggs either. Even when I didn't have restriction and could eat things like pizza and sandwiches, I couldn't do scrambled eggs. I didn't PB, but it's the only time I thought I might. I think it's just one of those things I won't be able to eat.
  18. I'm sure it's just that the nasty virus you had got your body out of whack or something. I'll bet it falls off really soon. Glad you are feeling better.
  19. ....because I finally have some restriction and I'm gonna take advantage of it while it lasts!
  20. Mandi~ I'm not sure if I've ever been as tight as you are, but I do think I have the "first bite syndrome". I've read a little about here and I have to be careful with my first couple of bites (when I have good restriction). I have to take really small bites and chew really really well. Sometimes I have to wait a couple of minutes after my first 2 or 3 few bites before I can eat again. While stuffing ourselves isn't healthy, I don't think just eating 2 bites of food is healthy either. I asked if I was supposed to stop at 2 bites and my fill nurse said no. Some people have a hard time with the first few bites and just need to take it really slow. I don't know if you have the "first bite syndrome" or if you are just too tight. Have you talked with your doctor about this?
  21. Sounds really good. I think I'm going to try this. Seafood is the only meat I'm eating these days, so I think I may boil or grill some shrimp and add it at the end instead of the sausage or just omit the meat altogether. I think it would be good either way. I was watching the movie Ratatouille last night and I told my hubby I wanted to make this. Can't wait to try it, probably next week after I buy groceries again. I searched the net looking for a good recipe and yours looks better than any I found. Thanks for sharing.
  22. This sounds really good! Thanks for sharing.
  23. I found the Naked Protein zone chocolate banana at wal-mart. I have to say, I wasn't a big fan of it. I didn't care for the taste and it had too many calories and not enough protein for me. It also cost almost $4.00 for one bottle. I really like the Low Carb slim fast shakes. They have 20 grams of protein per can. A fellow bandster (losingjusme maybe?) recommended putting them in the freezer for about 30 minutes and I love it that way. It kinda taste like a frappuccino without all the work.
  24. luvmyband and chocolate snaps~ you both look amazing! I can tell a huge difference in both of you. Keep up the good work girls!
  25. Congratulations Heather! What an accomplishment!
