  1. LOL! Thanks Jacquie. I just noticed how much weight you have lost! That's truly amazing! It's an inspiration to all of us to see someone who has succeeded so well.
  2. Hey everyone! It's been pretty slow here this weekend. I know lots of people are out of town and I hope everyone has a safe return. I just wanted to post that I have some pretty darn good restriction today! I'm hoping it stays and we are wrong about the leak. Maybe it was just a miscalculation between my fill from Elizabeth and Leslie? I dunno, but I'm just really excited to feel some restriction for a change!
  3. That's great! I can't wait until I'm under 200 lbs. Maybe I will get to ride some roller coasters for a change! Congrats on the friendship too. I have a really good friend here on LBT too (I think she's my long lost sister, lol). I hope we have the opportunity to meet some day. Congrats on your success! You and babygrl have done phenomenal!
  4. Mandi78~ Has your eating behavior improved any in your 2 years of therapy? Maybe it's time to see a different therapist? I too am an emotional eater so I understand where you are coming from but I'm afraid if you keep eating things you know will make you vomit, you're going to hurt yourself and mess up your band. Everyone has given great advice. The online support will probably be a big help too. I think you should consider getting an unfill until you get a better handle on this. It may not sound like a good idea right now, but you could end up doing some major damage if you keep doing what you're doing. Good luck and I hope you find the help you are looking for. Take care and keep us posted.
  5. I ususally either order a cup of soup or order a regular entree and take home the leftovers. I'll ocasionally order off of the kids menu but most of the time the kids menu is filled with crappy deep fried foods. I have found that my stomach doesn't handle fried foods very good anymore so I try to steer clear of it. If I am somewhere that has a good side item menu, I'll just order something from that (like a sweet potato, corn on the cob, steamed veggies, etc.). That way I'm not wasting money.
  6. me too! And just posting to post since my initial post wasn't long enough :tt2:
  7. ....because I'm ready to get past this plateau!
  8. Great NSV's Harkingluv! jjsmiles~ Of course that is a true NSV! That's amazing! What an accomplishment. Oh, I have one more I forgot to mention. I can FINALLY wear my wedding rings again! I haven't been able to wear them since I was pregnant with my son almost three years ago! DH said he's glad I can wear them because he wants people to know I'm taken, lol! He's so funny....
  9. Hey Brina! I was wondering where you have been. I miss your funny posts :tt2:. Your pics looks great! I can really tell a difference! Keep up the good work!
  10. Okay, I'm in too! Didn't do so well on the last one and I'm up a few pounds but I am going to try to stay on plan, even without restriction. Leslie starting weight: 224 current weight: 224 challenge goal weight: 204 pounds to go: 20 Nip starting weight: 185 current weight: 185 challenge goal weight: 173 pounds to go: 12 Sheryl Starting weight: 225.5 Current weight: 225.5 Challenge goal weight: 205 pounds to go: 20.5 Jeannie Starting weight: 201 Current weight:201 Challenge goal weight:180 Pounds to go: 21 Pamela Starting weight: 247 Current weight: 247 Challenge goal weight: 235 Pounds to go: 12
  11. Great NSV's! I went to the beach a couple of weeks ago and we ended up going to Shipwreck Island Waterpark. I was soooo glad I could actually participate and get on some the rides. At 330 lbs I wouldn't have fit in the tubes to ride, but I had absolutely no problem this time around. It was exciting because before I would have just sat on the side lines and watched everyone else have fun....never again!
  12. Please tell Joan I am so sorry that this happened to her and I will be praying that she has a full recovery.
  13. Happy 4th of July to you too! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
  14. I agree! Roaches are my biggest fear (well...roaches AND rats). I don't know why I am scared of them so bad, probably because they are just plain nasty!!! UGH!
  15. Hello countrygirl! Just wanted to welcome you to the group and congratulate you on your upcoming surgery. It's nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you.
  16. Clevergrrly I am really sorry you are going through this. I don't have much advice to offer but I may in the same situation you are. I've expressed my concern for a while now to my fill doctor about not keeping restriction after fills. At the end of April, she withdrew my Fluid and .50 cc was missing. She didn't seem real concerned at the time because some will evaporate over time. Well, I've had several fills since then and still no restriction that lasts more than a week. The new fill lady there decided she would re-check the fluid amount and there was .75cc missing in a 2 month span. She gave me another fill and we are going to check it again at the end of the month and go from there. I just wanted to let you know you are not alone. I hope things work out for you. Please keep us updated. God bless!
  17. Sheryl, that's great! You're right, any loss is good. Don't worry so much about how fast you lose it. What's important is that you are making lifelong changes with your portion control and food choices. Exercising helps a lot, so once you are able to exercise again I'm sure you'll see a difference too. Congrats on your accomplishments and keep up the good work!
  18. Thanks Sheryl! I was there from about 1:00 until 1:45 or so. I was the first one there when they opened back up after lunch. I've found that the 1:00 appointment is the best, no waiting. Or first thing in the morning. I can already tell I'm not going to have restriction. Last night I ate some fruit and felt no restriction. I made myself stop eating, I really think I could have eaten the whole cantaloupe with no problem. I've never slimed or PB'ed, I thought maybe I was just lucky, but I really don't think I've ever experienced true restriction. If it does turn out to be a leak, I don't think I should be responsible for paying for another surgery since it's obviously faulty equipment. It's not like I poked a hole in it myself. I do think very highly of Dr. Bagnato and all the staff and I do feel like he would make it right. Well just have to see. I also worry about infection from surgery since I've had such a rough time with staph infection. In fact, I have a place on my stomach that's just starting to clear up. Anyway, all I can do is just pray that it will work out. Thanks for your concern, I really appreciate the good thoughts.
  19. MusicMan, I'm so sorry about Pedro. What a cute little guy. I've lost a couple of dogs too and I know it hurts. Hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.
  20. WTG Heather! 45 lbs is wonderful! Congratulations on all your hard work and keep up the good work!
  21. I would order the tuna salad and just eat the tuna salad, not the lettuce and all the other stuff. Tuna salad was on my mushies list but it seems that surgeons food list are so different though. Was tuna salad on your list of approved foods for mushies? If you do order the tuna salad, just be careful and chew, chew, chew.
  22. Pre-band I made one of Paula's brownie recipes that called for 4 STICKS OF BUTTER! I can't believe I made them, lol. I stay away from her recipes now. Leslie, DH hates her accent too! Every time he sees her pop up on the screen he rolls his eyes. He can't stand her. You know how she makes up her own words, like saying "romantical" instead of just "romantic", well DH does the same thing. He makes up his own words all the time. I was playing around with him one day when he made up a word and asked him if he was kin to Paula. He actually got mad at me. He knew I was kidding but he dislikes her THAT much, lol.
  23. WTG Nip! How exciting! You have done a phenomenal job!!
  24. Hey Mia! Glad to her you had a blast on your honeymoon! The pictures turned out good, the wedding was beautiful. You made a beautiful bride and ya'll make a very cute couple. I'm glad you made it back safe and sound.
