Hi, I have had my first appt. with the Dr.

I had my first appt. with my lap band Dr. yesterday. I have more questions than I did before. I have great insurance and don't have to do the medial supervised diets. So I am kind of on the fast track I think. I should be having my surgry in October. My doctor is Cavazos in San Antonio, Tx. I am really intrested to know what the recovery is like and any other useful information you can tell me. Thanks

Hi Emilie and welcome to LBT! Congrats on your upcoming surgery. My surgery went pretty well. I had quite a bit of nausea the first week after but got through it without vomiting. I think it was partly due to dehydration. So, keep sipping those liquids.

Recovery time is different for everyone. Some people go back to work within a few days. Just listen to your body and take it easy until you heal.

Good luck!
