Scared Of Missing Food
- Fitbit
I think Santa will bring me one for Christmas this year but I want one now! They look so cool!- Sushi
So I'm a sushi addict. While I enjoy sashimi, I prefer rolls. Has anyone had experiences with sushi post op? Can you ask to make a roll with no rice? Will they do it? Any suggestions? I miss spicy tuna!- Let's Get This Out Of Our System! What Food...
Some things may never be tolerated again. Like some foods might always get stuck. You could probably get away with some of these after reaching your goal but it's a slippery slope and could cause you to 'relapse'.- Salmon

Welcome to the board and good luck on your journey!- New Here, Only 4 Days Until My Surgery
Welcome!- Salmon
Very healthy! Just make sure you are preparing it healthy. Poach, grill, broil or bake. And make sure you aren't using a sauce full of sugar or carbs! Salmon is one of the healthiest proteins you can eat!- On My Way
Welcome! This is a great place to connect with others that don't judge and know what you are going through!- Fat Grams
I wasn't given a limit. But my nutritionist did recommend staying below two sugars per meal. Every one is different with their tolerance too. You may be allowed 10 grams per serving but only tolerate 6. I would ask your nutritionist.- Let's Get This Out Of Our System! What Food...
I did try this but forget which recipe I used. Whichever one it was had a little too much soy sauce so maybe start with half. http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/recipes/recipe-combo11.html http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=586165- Let's Get This Out Of Our System! What Food...
- Crackers
Mmm the cheddar ones! Dissolve in your mouth bc they are for babies!- Pizza
I would try some ricotta, mozarella, pizza sauce, and maybe sausage. (I don't think pepperoni would purée well - too hard). Mix, puree, bake and sprinkle with parm? Down the road there is a recipe for crust made only from cauliflower egg and mozarella and it's amazing!- Cooking/organizing For Returning To Work
Aww I'm sorry! Truth be told I rode in the little wheelchair cart when I went to the store on day5. It's amazing how much energy it takes. You will feel much better soon! So I do have a wonderfully amazing chicken salad recipe but it involves walnuts and red grapes - more deli style. So I need to tweak it into a pouch friendly version. I'll keep ya posted. I want to use plain Greek yogurt instead of mayo for extra protein. I've done it with tuna and it was great!- Dumping From Splenda?
I dumped off truvia so I guess it's possible. My surgeon said it is possible but not likely. Just gotta try it!- Cooking/organizing For Returning To Work
Today went to the grocery store and got so excited when I saw all the sugar free products they had like ketchup, BBQ sauce, fruit spread, maple syrup, etc. I found a buch of stuff that will work in the purée phase. There are egg drop Soup packets where you just add Water and eggs and it's no carbs!! Crab was on sale so I'm going to make a bunch of crab cakes with no bread crumbs and purée it then bake in muffin tins and freeze in gallon bags. Can be pulled out for a yummy lunch. Also going to make a bunch of quiche bites from eggface! Am going to put refried Beans with cheese and chilli in tiny containers and freeze too! Hopefully this will be an easy way to get Protein in a hurry! Will probably also do lots of tuna salad. Does anyone else have money or time saving tips for returning back to work? Anything that will make out mornings or evenings go smoother would help!!- Surgery Is Done!
Glad everything is going well!- I Love Bread And Carbs!
I live in York where are you from?- Dumping...
Sounds ok. It is a little different for everyone. I dumped from using truvia which is sugar free but if your body thinks its sugar then you could be in trouble. I also dumped from diluted apple juice. Some are more sensitive I guess.- On My Way! Home!
Oh yeah, nix that straw they are a big no-no! They can distend the pouch due to excess air which can lead to stretching (and more gas!) I was told they are forbidden forever after rny. Glad you are feeling better and you are a smartie for taking walking breaks to avoid DVT and gas! It is always better to be home where you are more comfortable. Congrats again!- Friday Weigh-In!

Yup, you are right where you should be!- Problems With Pills
That's a good idea -i'll have to get some tomorrow! And you did ok with the applesauce? I'm so worried about dumping! I have to take 6 pills a day for my Coumadin - and I don't think I need it now bc I'm walking so much. Yes, my surgery was on 7/10 so we are right with each other!- Problems With Pills
I'm on liquids so crushing would be difficult to get them down. Coumadin does not taste good lol! - Fitbit
