  1. I don't see why you would have an issue. I've seen people back to riding horses within a month. I was swimming at two weeks out very hard too. I did wait until six weeks to golf because it wasn't comfortable and I worried about hurting my sleeve. Good luck to you!
  2. I wear mine all the time except to sleep as well. Not sure if it helps, but I like them. I started wearing mine about a week out too.
  3. I have heard too many horror stories with the band. Plus I didn't want something foreign in me ort have to deal with the maintence. I didn't want dumping syndrome or dealing with rerouted intestines. I am so thrilled with my choice.
  4. Hang in there, this too shall pass.
  5. Swimmer replied to a post in a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
    Great list thanks.
  6. I've had lots of issues with the since surgery. I use laxatives now.
  7. Straws never seem to bother me.
  8. So fun to read! Great job. Nsv non scale victory
  9. Bread is very uncomfortable for me so I don't eat it. I'm three months out.
  10. You are doing great enjoy! My loss is very slow I'm jealous. Enjoy the ride.
  11. You can do this, don't beat yourself up. Pick yourself up and carry on.
  12. As soon as your incisions are closed. My doctor released me and I started back in the water at two weeks which I think was too soon and I had a small infection. I would think at four to six weeks you should be good.
  13. I have experienced both and this seemed to be the first thing to get better. I could drink normally fairly soon after surgery. I still sometimes get that fizzy thing at three months out. Not as often though.
  14. Best wishes to you. This is the best forum I started at a similar place to you and am also 5'5. I'm now three months out and down 46 pounds. I love my sleeve.
  15. I was the same way, it will be here before you know it. Enjoy your journey!
  16. You are getting through the hardest part. I swear you will start to feel more and more normal every week. Hang in there. You can do this.
  17. Took 5 days for me with bcbs.
  18. I did too. I wasn't awful but annoying.
  19. Mine was $40 co pay and about an hour just talking.
  20. Practice not drinking with your meals and chewing well these have been the hardest for me. Best wishes.
  21. Yep you are normal. It's a huge and exciting change we are all rooting for you! Best wishes.
  22. I was back to swimming pretty hard two weeks post surgery, but I never could have done that trip at that stage. I was too tired.
  23. I wish I hadn't been so excited to tell people. Now I feel the pressure when the process slows to a halt for weeks as happens to me. Now that I'm through the toughest part I realize I should have kept it to myself. It's a slow emotional process. I now have a very different relationship with food. That was my main goal, but it doesn't happen overnight. I also didn't realize how sensitive I would become about watching people eating huge portions. It literally makes me a little sick to see portions at restaurants. It's a great journey and I have been enjoying the process.
  24. I was given these shots in the hospital the entire time I was there, and they give them in the stomach but it isn't that bad. I have never given myself shots.
