Is It Normal...?

...to have soreness in my ribs three weeks after surgery? Sometimes I feel the soreness in my back too. I guess in the rib area there too. I would think I would be healing, but I am just now experiencing soreness. ???

I had something similar about the same time. The PA said it was because that had to pull really hard and apply pressure to pull out the part of the stomach that they removed.

I did too. I wasn't awful but annoying.

Me too, and I freaked out. But it is normal, don't worry.

I felt the same way. My back hurt for nearly a month, I think I was overcompensating with my back for babying my abdomen.

I don't know if it's normal but I had the same feeling. It felt like I was run over across my ribs by a truck! I also had soreness in my back when I sat for long periods of time.
