What is your typical diet after srgery?
I am 14 weeks out and this is my typical day: Breakfast: 1/2 english muffin with Peanut Butter and 1/2 banana sliced on top snack: baby bell cheese lunch: 3/4 of a healthy choice type frozen meal-- one with at least 10 grams of protien or more. I try to eat the meat out and leave the noodles or rice. snack: handful of nuts or a can of tuna plain Dinner: chicken breast, or meatloaf, or pot roast, or whatever meat my roommates and I are in the mood for. and a few bites of veggies. On the days when I work out I also drink a protien shake made with ice, protien powder, peanut butter, banana, and thats an extra 50 grams of protien, Feeling great!!! Calories range from 1000-1300 usually.

Problems getting protein in my diet...
I can't do premade shakes either. I just recently started making ones from scratch in the blender with ice. It helps soooo much. they taste amazing. 1 scoop has 20 grams of protien. So I do 2 scoops (chocolate flavor) 1/2 banana 1 tablespoon of Peanut Butter 1 cup of ice cubes 3/4 cup of milk Put it in a blender until smooth. It tastes like something you would buy at smoothie king!! and it has 55 grams of protien or so!!!!

3 months out finally trying protein supplements!
In an attempt to break my stall at 200.2 lbs for the past 2 weeks I have decided to up my protien from 60ish to 80+ it's not possible with just food so I bought chocolate protein powder from GNC. It's 20 grams per scoop. I did 2 scoops, 1 cup of 1% milk, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, a half a banana and 1 cup of ice. Whirled in the blender. It was so delicious and took me 2 hours to drink. But it was 60 grams of protein! I haven't done Any protein drinks post up yet due to a taste aversion that has finally gone away! Hoping to see onderland this week! Thanks all for the support! I love this website.

NSVs This Week
Congrats Bryn! I like the snarky coworker one- I can relate totally. I have a snarky, jealous coworker. She always looked down on me for getting the surgery-- she would say "I would never get weight loss surgery thats the easy way out" She was about my size before surgery and she is such a jealous snot. She declined all my super cute size Silver brand 20 and 22 jeans because she said they would be "way too big" ha ha ha So I lied and said try these on they are 18's. (they were the 20's and 22's) and they fit her perfectly (even a bit snug) and she took about 10 pairs of Silver jeans off my hands. lol Then I was like ooops I guess these are the 22's. he he he Meanwhile I am wearing super cute 16's yay!

Is your weightloss = "SHOP-A-HOLIC?"
I am completely out of control! I'm in 16's from 22's and I love it. I'm wearing large and xl tops and I have bought 3 pairs of jeans and 10 tops. Oh and my fave so far a NORTH FACE fleece in a large!!! Never had one before cause I was to big, it wouldn't zip!!! That's it until these clothes look ridiculous

Weightloss - New YOU! What's the best compliment that you've gotten so far?

questioning my decision
So here it is: whats done is done! Can't go back now! I have a feeling you will change your mind in a few weeks! Hang in there. We all "could have" lost the weight on our own. We did and gained it back, multiple times. You are feeling like this cause you feel like crap post op. We all had these thoughts. I could not lose 50lbs in 3 months on my own ever! I feel and look better than I have in years-- I am going to make my goal for once and maintain. Cause of the surgey. I know deep down I couldnt do this alone and thats ok!! You will be feeling and looking great soon and know you made the right choice. I enjoy any food I want in small portions now and I love it!!!
