  3. Awesome girly, bet that was a GR8 feeling!!!!! :cheer2:
  4. Yay Neanie, so excited for you!! Wishing you an easy surgery and speedy recovery!!! :cheer2:
  5. I'm so sorry, I know how upsetting this is. I got sick the wk before my surgery and stayed that was until just a couple days before I had to leave. Thankfully it all worked out for me. I had been researching 7 yrs and I was very ready to get it done. I hope you get better in time for your surgery. and try not to stress too much. Just let your dr know and he will make the decision based on what is best for you. Good luck and let us know!!
  6. I recovered in a very nice hotel, and I really enjoyed it. You can contact Trish directly @ smoothgospel@hotmail.es and one # is (619) 955-6771.
  7. Hi Cathi, I'm a real person and a patient of Dr Kellys. I had surgery in Tijuana MX on 5/16. I did not go through Sandy as a coordinator, but I have heard of others using her. I know it's hard to believe this is possible to do at such a reasonable price, i felt the same way when I first started researching. I don't know what to do to prove to you that i am real, but you may ask me any questions here or privately. When I read the title of your post I had to giggle even though I know you were serious. It's good to do your research. You have to feel 100% comfortable with your decision to get sleeved and go to MX to have the surgery. But Dr Kelly is wonderful and very experienced. I haven't had any problems at all so far. I read and researched for a long time. I was nervous and skeptical too. It's completely normal! Keep reading and ask questions. There's a lot of good info here. Good luck in your research!!
  8. That's awesome!!!!!! :cheer2:
  9. I'm glad you're feeling better!! It definitely takes some time to get in the groove of things. Your menu looks good.
  10. And sometimes we just don't tolerate something, even if we've done fine with it before. Feel better!!
  11. Congrats!!! Don't worry about the bougie size, you can't tell that much difference between them and it will not make a difference on your weightloss. Also we don't feel the restriction as much with liquids, so you will be able to feel more in the mushy and solid food stages. We all have these same worries and fears, but you're gonna do great!! :hippie:
  12. Almost 40 lbs is amazing, and I've heard the same about those of us who lost weight prior to surgery. We may not lose as much immediately post op or stall sooner or for longer. I am ok with it as long as the scales eventually move and downward. Good for you on getting testing done, this is important. Congrats on your success so far!!!
  13. Broth Sf popsicles Sf jello G2 Water Crystal light Basically anything that you can see through, that is sf. Stay very hydrated if you choose to do this. This shouldn't be harmful, because a lot of us even did the clear liquids for a wk or more and you only have today and tomorrow left? I suppose I need to add a disclaimer here: I am not a dr or nurse. I hope whatever you choose to do works!!! Good luck, I am rooting for you!
  14. Eddie, i'm so glad to hear from you, and it's great news that you got hydrated and theres no leak! Try to keep sipping all day long and maybe no more ER trips. I hope the nausea meds help you. I know it's hard to eat or drink with nausea. Keep us updated and feel better!!
  15. I am in NW AL. Near Hamilton/Guin/Winfield area. Where are y'all?
  16. How far out are you? Do you have a fever? Any abdominal pain?
  17. Thats only a couple days, so other than going liquids only, I don't know what else to suggest. I would not advise increasing meds without dr approval. I'm sorry, I know you are worried, but your health has to come before the surgery. I hope it lowers in time for your surgery, I know it's frustrating!! Good luck!
  18. Congrats on being sleeved!!! I'm glad you had a good experience and easy recovery! :cheer2:
  19. Oops, double post--sorry on my phone and didn't think the first one went thru!
  20. I know, right??? The before/after pics save me when feeling weak or down. Glad you're doing better!
  21. I think there was some debate on Obesityhelp and some were saying it's not the best choice butI don't remember how or why this might be so. With the fruit, you could make some of that dip made with cream cheese, greek yogurt, and vanilla extract. The yogurt would give you some protein. I'm sorry I can't be more help, I never have been a fruit person but my daughter is, and she likes that dip. Now peas squash, and okra I love!
  22. Theres also the popsicles and jello from the clear liquids stage. Popsicles saved me pre and post op liquid diets. Plain Greek Yogurt you can add different things to like sf pudding. My fav is the white chocolate and cheesecake. I also add peanut butter to my vanilla protein shakes with a little vanilla extract flavoring. That's all I can think of but search this site and/or google for more ideas. Good luck!! It's worth it!
  23. Awesome news!!! :hippie:
  24. You can do it!!! I know the pre-op is hard, probably the most difficult part. Try not to put yourself in tempting situations and distract yourself with other activities. Read all the success stories. Go on other sites like Obesityhelp and look at all the before and after pics there and here to stay motivated! We're here for you!!! :hippie:
