Talk me off the ledge- weight loss crawling
I'm sorry I know it's difficult, I'm going through it too, and I just feel so helpless, because I am working really hard just to get in what I am getting in now, I can't see getting more calories in either. That's what gets us down I think, we get insecure when the scales don't move even though we are doing what we've been told to do and following the guidelines. I don't have any words of wisdom for you, but I wanted to let you know, you are not alone. We'll get through this together!!

Longtime Lurker Finally Made the Jump!
Hello, and glad you came out of lurkdom to join us here. Congrats on being sleeved!! Sounds like you are doing great. I am in my 3rd wk post op and still struggle to get in everything, such limited space in my sleeve still. I feel like I am eating and drinking all day long, and I actually have to if I am going to meet the requirements. It gets easier every day I hear so I am not gonna worry about it. Everyone experiences it. I am doing good, and feeling great! I have decided to stop weighing so often since I am in the 3 wk area, I know people experience stalls around this time, so I don't wanna get too caught up in the scales right now. If you've been lurking and reading, you know what a great support system this forum is, so we are all here for ya!! :welcome:

Sleeved on Monday at UCLA
Congrats on being sleeved!!! Glad you are doing well. I didn't have problems taking pills or the discomfort with swallowing, but I've seen both mentioned, so hopefully those people will speak up. I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Got a date and good news!
Congrats!! Great news on lower price too! The family reunion may be rough, but you can do it!!

How supportive is/was your spouse
Good subject!! I admit it bothered me a little at first, the liquid phase is hard by itself, but then watching others eat made it harder, so i would get busy to distract myself. Now, I look at it like this, there is constantly going to be food situations with people, I may as well get used to it at home with my family so it won't be as difficult when I am around others. This isn't temporary, it's a definite true lifestyle change. It just takes a while to adjust.

Sleeved 6.7.2011 - Day 3 - Thank GOD for liquid Hydrocodone!
Congrats on being sleeved and welcome to the losers bench!!! Sorry you are still experiencing pain. I didn't have it real bad, but it's probably also the hiatal hernia repair that is making your recovery more difficult. I know it will get better everyday for you! You may not be able to get all the liquid and protein in, so focus on hydration first. The protein might take a while to get in, just do what you can. Hope you feel better soon!!

Figuring out what works
Are you on solids now? Do you think it's what you're trying to eat or how much? I think sometimes we think we can eat more than what we actually can because it is such a small amount. Even just a bite too much can make it come back up. Are you on a ppi? The acid can cause nausea, and so can dehydration. I hope it gets better for you!
