  1. You look great!! You give so much of yourself to this forum and have been a blessing to us newbies, Thank you for that!! I went to the website and the jewelry is awesome!!!
  2. I think if you chew to soft consistency it's good enough, you probably don't have to make it 30 chews unless it's a really dense protein. I think the protein bar will be enough with the advil, hope you knee's feel better :w00t:
  3. Glad you are doing ok-good to know about the pouch test, I've been tempted to try it to nudge the scale down. I'm 5 mos out and can eat more also, just as you described. I don't seem to want to bake anymore and sweets were my weakness, now I'm happy with a nutter butter cookie thank goodness!
  4. Take it easy, walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip and rest alot, that was the advice I was given and it does work
  5. You look amazing!! I'm curious have you had the hair loss issues? Goodlife have you had hair issues or is it only me, we're allsleeved aroung the same time.Thanks:confused1:
  6. Food is your friend, just make it protein first, eat slowly. Your going to be fine!
  7. You look like a completely different person, so great!! You lost the same amount my granddaughter(age 8) weighs!!! Keep inspiring us!
  8. I had to post on my sugerversary, I love my sleeve!!! I have lost 61 lbs in 5 months and before surgery couldn't lose any. The inches are still coming off as my body changes. I haven't lost much in the bust area so kinda happy about that The throat area is what bothers me the most (droopy) blah! The hair loss seems to continue -but has leveled off without getting worse. I'm happy and have decided the rest of the weight will come off when it wants too. I'm still walking though not 6 days a week more like 4 days and keeping my 4 yr old granddaughter 4 days a week, that in itself is a workout.lol I'm in size 12 jeans from 18 women and lg tops from 2x. I do tend to eat the same things repeatedly but it is grilled salmon so it is healthy. I do feel I have added years to my life and it makes me happy dance at least once a day! I hope you all are doing great too!! You are the best!!
  9. I don't kno if you have a Sam's Wholesale anywhere near but they have the grilled chicken breasts you microwave and blackened salmon, talapia and swiss chicken burgers that can be microwaved, add in a small side of veggie and your good. Don;t beat yourself up over the nuggets, we've been caught somewehre and had to make a food choice, you did the best you could. The taco doesen't strike me as being bad. The weight loss has slowed way down for me too, have lost only 9 lbs in last 2 months. You are gonna be fine, you can do this!!
  10. branc1 --loved your post, been married 36 yrs too so I can totally relate!!
  11. Happy 1 yr anniversary lan2k -you are a major inspiration!!!
  12. I was driving by day 4 I only used tylenol liquid blast pain relief after day 4 I sayed 1 nite in hospital I added unflavored whey protein to anything I could Swelling lasted 5 days for me clear liquids for 7 days after surgery then soft diet.
  13. Wow you are doing great!!!I'm 4 1/2 months out and I agree the sleeve life is awesome!!
  14. Yay for both of you!!! It only gets better!!
  15. i was told we might not asorb the b12 like we did presurgery therefore the injection was recommended but if your levels are all ok then the protein might need to be higher.Take care.:laugh0:
  16. I like the bbq pork rinds, and the butter toffee almonds are delish. They also have chocolate mint now. Just measure out a serving so you don't keep going back and overeat them!
  17. The sleeve was a minor bump compared to 2 c-sections and open hysterectomy, you dont have that "my guts are falling out" feeling. I was gro shopping by the 4th day, driving and cooking meals. It's not bad-promise!
  18. Hang in there, try not to get too discouraged, it does work if you shake things up alittle, like Maddie said, it works for me everytime. You are really doing great and the weight will come off when you're body is ready to let it go.
  19. You lost a whole other person(weight wise) how awesome is that. You truly are a inspiration to those of us trying to stay motivated!!

  23. Hi, Linda-Welcome to the forum. I wish I had journaled everything from the day of surgery. It has been incredible and I believe I would have enjoyed looking back as a way to keep motivated. Ididn't have to have a nut before or after and I think it would have helped. I have zero regrets, zero complications so far, Good luck!
  24. I agree, file a lawsuit or compaint if that brings her closure but "put on your big girl panies and deal with it" because it is what it is. Live life and enjoy your family. This is just my opinion. Haing said that-Good Luck and I hope you find inner peace.
  25. Anythin you can mush with a fork was how my Dr. explained it :001_tongue:
